The study offers a philosophical analysis of Nicholas Wolterstorff’s theory of justice and education for justice. Crucial aspects of Wolterstorff’s theory are his understanding of justice as inherent rights and justice as inherent worth. Interrelated to this are the concepts of life-goods, well-being and the good life. Within this framework of rights grounded in worth, the notions of natural human rights and human dignity occupy a special position. In recent years, much research have dealt with the impact of human and climate change on the morpho-evolution of Mediterranean catchments characterized by high ecological and cultural value. In this paper, we speculated how humans can influence hillslope degradation by reviewing the relationships between denudation processes and land use changes in some representative areas located in different Italian regions (i.e., Liguria, Tuscany, Basilicata, and Sicily). One of the main aims of evolutionary biology is to understand the mechanisms responsible for the phenotypic variation on which natural selection can act. Maternal effects occur when a mother's phenotype or her environment influence her offspring's phenotype. Despite the importance of such effects for the ecology of host-parasite interactions, their role has been relatively neglected to date. In this thesis, we examined how mothers influence the immune defense of their young in an environment that varies in space and time. Atšķirīgu barotņu ietekme uz krūts vēža šūnu līniju fenotipiskām pazīmēm

Krūts vēzis ir ļaundabīgs audzējs, kas atšķiras gan viena audzēja ietvaros, gan starp indivīdiem. Lai noskaidrotu pacientam piemērotāko ārstēšanas veidu, tiek noteikti vēža tipi pēc tos veidojošo šūnu morfoloģijas, producētajiem receptoriem, kā arī gēnu ekspresijas. Šūnu kultūrās barotņu sastāvs un citi augšanas apstākļi ietekmē kultivēto šūnu signālprocesus un gēnu ekspresiju. Darbā tika pārbaudīta četru atšķirīgu barotņu ietekme uz krūts vēža līniju (MCF7 un MDA-MB-231) un fibroblastu (HDFa) šūnu līnijas augšanu un fenotipu. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on hankkia tietoa ammattiyhdistysliikkeen näkemyksestä yrityksen yhteiskuntavastuuseen. Tutkimus koostuu teoriatarkastelusta ja empiirisestä osasta. Varsinaisen teoriaviitekehyksen muodostavat uusi institutionalismi ja kansallinen liiketoimintajärjestelmäteoria. Lisäksi yrityksen yhteiskuntavastuuta tarkastellaan sidosryhmäajattelun ja yritysetiikan kontekstissa. Empiirinen tutkimusaineisto koostuu kymmenen henkilön haastatteluaineistosta.
