Thermal bleaching of gamma-induced-defects in optical fibers

International audience; Ge-doped and F-doped gamma-irradiated fibers with a maximum accumulated dose of 10 MGy were subjected to isochronal annealing treatments up to 750°C. The thermal treatment influence on the point defect generation and transformation were investigated through Radiation Induced Attenuation (RIA) changes in the visible and IR spectral domains. The thermal bleaching of gammainduced-defects depends on both temperature and composition of optical fibers.
Topological canal foliations

Regular canal surfaces of $\mathbb{R}^3$ or $\mathbb{S}^3$ admit foliations by circles: the characteristic circles of the envelope. In order to build a foliation of $\mathbb{S}^3$ with leaves being canal surfaces, one has to relax the condition “canal” a little (“weak canal condition”) in order to accept isolated umbilics. Here, we define a topological condition which generalizes this “weak canal” condition imposed on leaves, and classify the foliations of compact orientable 3-manifolds we can obtain this way.

L'objectif de ce travail était d'une part d'étudier les altérations neuromusculaires induites par un exercice excentrique sollicitant les muscles extenseurs du genou, et d'autre part d'étudier l'efficacité de l'électrostimulation (ES) comme moyen d'évaluation, de traitement et de prévention de ces altérations. La première étude de ce travail consistait à évaluer les contributions des mécanismes centraux et périphériques à la diminution de la contraction maximale volontaire observée après l'exercice excentrique. W artykule opisano liczący 81 pozycji inwentarz muzykaliów kościoła pw. św. Jana Chrzciciela w Jodłowie na ziemi kłodzkiej. Zbiór składał się w większości z łatwych do wykonania utworów przeznaczonych na czterogłosowy chór mieszany z towarzyszeniem orkiestry lub organów. Miejscowy zespół wokalno-instrumentalny dysponował m.in.: 34 mszami (w tym sześcioma za zmarłych), siedmioma zbiorami graduałów i ofertoriów oraz dziewięcioma litaniami. Dużą grupę muzykaliów stanowiły różnego rodzaju opracowania chóralne pieśni kościelnych, zwłaszcza maryjnych i pogrzebowych.
