DNA-repair mechanisms enable cells to maintain their genetic information by protecting it from mutations that may cause malignant growth. Recent evidence suggests that specific DNA-repair enzymes contain ISCs (iron–sulfur clusters). The nuclearencoded protein frataxin is essential for the mitochondrial biosynthesis of ISCs. Frataxin deficiency causes a neurodegenerative disorder named Friedreich's ataxia in humans. Various types of cancer occurring at young age are associated with this disease, and hence with frataxin deficiency. Jerónimo Quijano fue un arquitecto español que destacó durante la etapa del Renacimiento Pleno en España en el tercio central del siglo XVI. Los edificios seleccionados principalmente son: iglesia de Santiago de Orihuela –Alicante– e iglesia de Santa María del Salvador de Chinchilla –Albacete–. En ambos se construyó una nueva cabecera renacentista e integrada en una nave gótica preexistente y en el caso de haber sido “acabadas” íntegramente con el criterio del maestro serían sin duda ejemplos claves del Renacimiento español.
