Influence of gel composition in the synthesis of MoVTeNb catalysts over their catalytic performance in partial propane and propylene oxidation

[EN] MoVTeNb mixed oxides catalysts have been prepared by a slurry method with different molar compositions (Mo/Te ratio from 2 to 6 and Nb/(V + Nb) ratio from 0 to 0.7) in the synthesis gel leading to different crystalline phases distribution and catalytic behaviour in the partial oxidation of both propane and propylene to acrylic acid. Chemical analysis indicates that the composition of samples before and after the heat-treatment changes, especially the Te-content, since a significant amount of Te is lost during the heat-treatment step when the amount of oxalate (from niobium oxalate) increases in the synthesis gel. The possibility to probe the accessibility of sites of proteins represents an important point to explore their interactions with specific substrates in solution. The dynamic electron polarization of nitroxide radicals induced by excited triplet states of organic molecules is a phenomenon that is known to occur in aqueous solutions. The interaction within the radical-triplet pair causes a net emissive dynamic electron polarization of the nitroxide radical, that can be detected by means of time-resolved electron paramagnetic resonance (TR-EPR) spectroscopy. A Method to Quantitatively Trap Volatilized Organoselenides for Stable Selenium Isotope Analysis

If volatile organoselenides are to be analyzed for their stable Se isotope composition to elucidate sources and formation processes, organoselenides need to be trapped quantitatively to avoid artificial Se isotope fractionation. Effects of SCA40 on human isolated bronchus and human polymorphonuclear leukocytes: comparison with rolipram, SKF94120 and levcromakalim

1. SCA40 (0.1 nM-0.1 mM) produced concentration-dependent suppression of the spontaneous tone of human isolated bronchus (-log EC50 = 6.85 +/- 0.09; n = 10) and reached a maximal relaxation similar to that of theophylline (3 mM). The potency (-log EC50 values) of SCA40 compared to other relaxants was rolipram (7.44 +/- 0.12; n = 9) > SCA40 > or = levcromakalim (6.49 +/- 0.04; n = 6) > SKF94120 (5.87 +/- 0.10; n = 9). 2. When tested against the activity of the isoenzymes of cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (PDE) isolated from human bronchus, SCA40 proved highly potent against PDE III (-log IC50 = 6.47 +/- 0.16; n = 4). Background. Neurological pathogenesis is associated with mitochondrial dysfunction and differences in neuronal/glial handling of oxygen and glucose. The main side effects attributed to efavirenz involve the CNS, but the underlying mechanisms are unclear.
