This article examines older physical education (PE) teachers’ wellbeing over the course of their career in Finland. The study highlights challenges to physical and mental functioning as well as how teachers respond to these challenges. The six interviewees were over 55-year-old PE teachers, whose career had lasted for more than 30 years. Qualitative methods were used in the collection, transcription and analysis of the research data. W 2000 r. w Polsce rozpoczął się proces regionalizacji kolei. Odpowiedzialność za przewozy wojewódzkie przeniesiono na samorządy wojewódzkie. Przedmiotem badania były powiązania międzywojewódzkie pociągami osobowymi Wielkopolski i 7 województw ościennych (razem 33 trasy). Na 15 z nich prowadzone są przewozy pasażerskie. Liczba połączeń jest zróżnicowana. W planach transportowych 19 linii opisywanych jest w obydwu dokumentach (Wielkopolska i sąsiadujący region). 8 jest pominiętych, a 6 znajduje odniesienie w jednym z planów. Basque pilota is a traditional sport played mainly by men. A project emerged in 2005 to promote female participation: Emakumea Pilotari (Woman pelota player). In this article we present the main points that emerged from an ethnographic study of the social relationships that playing Basque pilota can provide. The study was carried out in 2011-2012 season with a purposive sample of 28 adult women Basque pilota players (pilotaris) (between 22 and 60 years old). 26 participants were pilotaris in recreational groups and the other two were their trainers. Importance of millipedes (Diplopoda) in the autumn-winter diet of Scolopax rusticola

Authors examined the autumn-winter diet of the woodcock Scolopax rusticola from 407 gizzard samples originating from Crimea and Italy, resulting in a high number of millipedes (Diplopoda) in all the samples; this prey item was particularly important in terms of weight percentage. The authors consider that calcium, highly present in millipedes, should be an important source for the woodcocks’ metabolism during the autumn-winter seasons.

The ongoing internationalization of audiovisual media increases the need for new ways of overcoming linguistic barriers. In Germany, where the common technique has always been dubbing, subtitles are however becoming more and more popular. The present article will deal with the application possibilities of subtitles in audiovisual translation with reference to humoristic elements. The article will present two theoretical approaches to the translation of humour which will be then put into practice by using three sketches of the Ecuadorian web series Enchufe.tv as an example.
