Isobaric vapor-liquid equilibria and densities for the system methyl 1,1-dimethylethyl ether+2-propanol

Vapor-liquid equilibrium data at 50, 75 and 94 kPa have been determined for the binary system methyl 1,1-dimethylethyl ether + 2-propanol, in the temperature range 308-344 K. The measurements were made in an equilibrium still with circulation of both the vapor and liquid phases. Excess volumes have been also determined from density measurements using a vibrating tube densimeter at 298.15 K. The system exhibits positive deviation from ideal behavior and does not present azeotropy within the range of pressures studied. Abstract Consistent vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data at 101.3 kPa have been determined for the ternary system dipropyl ether (DPE) + 1-propanol (PA) + 1-pentanol and two constituent binary systems: DPE + 1-pentanol and PA + 1-pentanol. The DPE + 1-pentanol system shows positive deviations from ideal behaviour and PA + 1-pentanol system exhibits no deviation from ideal behaviour. The activity coefficients and the boiling points were correlated with their compositions by the Wilson, NRTL, UNIQUAC and Wisniak–Tamir equations. AbstractThe bulk of traditional corporate valuation methods reflect historical performance, while it is necessary to also take into consideration the value which is off-balance-sheet and possible growth. Large differences exist between company market and book value, and a part of this can be explained by intellectual capital. The aim of the study is to make an empirical investigation of the impact of intellectual capital on company value. Empirical results show that one can find mixed results regarding relationship between value added intellectual coefficient VAICTM and company value.

Several studies have shown that acute stress affects working memory (WM) in young adults, but the effect in older people is understudied. As observed in other types of memory, older people may be less sensitive to acute effects of stress on WM. We performed two independent studies with healthy older men and women (from 55 to 77 years old) to investigate the effects of acute stress (Trier Social Stress Test; TSST) and cortisol on WM. Myeloid sarcoma is a tumor mass of immature myeloid or granulocytic cells that affects extramedullary anatomic sites, including uncommonly the oral cavity. A 24-year-old female was referred for evaluation of a fast growing painful gingival swelling lasting 2 weeks, associated with fever, fatigue, and cervical lymphadenopathy.
