Crime Analysis of the Metropolitan Region of Santiago de Chile: A Spatial Panel Data Approach

The aim of our work is to determine the influence that socio-economic and demographic factors have had on crimes that have taken place during the period 2010–2018 in the communes of the Metropolitan Region of Chile, as well as the existence of possible spatial or temporal effects. We address 12 kinds of crime that we have grouped into two main types: against people and against property. Our interest focuses on crimes against people, using crimes against property as an additional covariate in order to investigate the existence of the broken-windows phenomenon in this context. National audience; Confrontées à une baisse durable de la consommation de vins sur le marché national, de nombreuses entreprises du secteur vinicole français ont décidé d'accroître leurs exportations. Dans ce travail, nous analysons l'incidence de l'exportation sur la performance financière des entreprises. L'économétrie de données de panel nous permet de mettre en évidence une influence positive etsignificative de l'exportation sur la performance financière des 80 entreprises françaises de notre échantillon, au cours des années 90 (de 1991 à 1999).

This specialisation has taken different forms and characterisations concerning the chosen or spontaneously developed model. International audience; The purpose of this paper is to compare the extent to which French and British firms manage their earnings in order to avoid losses, decreases in earnings and earnings below the forecasts of analysts. Further, this study aims to investigate the factors that potentially influence earnings management to exceed thresholds with reference to the Anglo-Saxon and continental accounting models. Britain and France, correspondingly, belong to those different socio-economic environments. Our paper builds on the importance of high-tech manufacturing and knowledge-intensive services as significant competitiveness and economic growth drivers in the European Union and offers a fresh approach of the study on the competitiveness of secondary and tertiary high-tech industries across EU member states. Our analysis covers the 2008–2015 period and includes twelve old and new EU members.
