Pellets based on polyuronates: Relationship between gelation and release properties

International audience; Three polyuronates: amidated low methoxyl pectin (ALMP), low methoxyl pectin (LMP) and polygalacturonic acid (PGA) were used to encapsulate rutin in pellets, and they were characterized by different techniques (macroscopic properties, Calcium and rutin release). The ability of the three polyuronates to bind calcium ions and the viscoelastic properties of gels were performed to relate the properties of the pellets to the gel structures. The pellets size, the water content, the water uptake, the release of calcium and rutin varied depending on the polyuronate used. The research described in this thesis covers the synthesis, characterization and the study of the gelation ability of fteen pyrene based low molecular weight organogelators (LMOGs). The gelation and gel properties were investigated by rheometry, scanning electron microscopy, di erential scanning calorimetry, UV-Vis and uorescence spectroscopy. The pyrene based LMOGs form complexes with 2,4,7-trinitro uorenone (TNF) and self-assemble non-covalently through - stacking, donor-acceptor and van der Waals interactions to form thermoreversible gels, which remain stable at least for two years. Background: Children generally have a higher nasal resistance than adults. Growth changes the size and different anthropometric parameters of the nose. Logarithmic effective resistance and logarithmic vertex resistance were introduced as physically correct parameters for nasal obstruction. The previously published classification of obstruction derived from 36,500 measurements is missing data for patients aged 7 to 19 years.
