Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin lapsijohtoisen tutkimuksen ohjaamiseen liittyviä haasteita sekä sitä, miten ohjaaja toiminnallaan ja valinnoillaan mahdollistaa tai rajoittaa lasten osallisuutta. Tutkimuskohteena oli alakoulussa toteutettu lapsijohtoisen tutkimuksen projekti ja kyseisen projektin ohjaaja. Projekti toteutettiin kantahämäläisen kyläkoulun 3.-4. luokassa keväällä 2012. Kyseessä on arvioiva tapaustutkimus, jonka aineisto kerättiin monimenetelmällisesti. Aineisto koostuu ohjaajan havainnoista ja päiväkirjasta sekä oppilaiden tutkimuspäiväkirjoista, loppuarvioinneista ja tutkimuksen aikana syntyneistä dokumenteista. Fruit and vegetable intake is insufficient in industrialized nations and long-haul heavy goods vehicle (HGV) drivers are considered a particularly at-risk group. The aim of the current study was to test the effectiveness of a multi-theory, dual-phase model to predict fruit and vegetable consumption in Australian long-haul HGV drivers. This study investigated participants’ conceptions of the ideal mentor and mentee in the Finnish model of peer-group mentoring (PGM). Existing mentoring research emphasises dyadic practices, yet there is a lack of investigation of participants’ roles in group mentoring. The main concepts of this inquiry were dispositions (habitus) and virtues drawing on the theory of practice architectures and Aristotelian virtue philosophy. Tiger nut (Cyperus esculentus L.) is a sweet tuber mostly cultivated in Eastern Spain (Valencia) and in west Africa. Its nutritional profile stands out for the high fiber and unsaturated fat content; moreover, the moderate protein amount might make it suitable for the nutritional enrichment of gluten free foods. 2-(4,8,11-Triscarbamoylmethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradec-1-yl)acetamide (TETAM) derivatives bearing 1, 2, or 4 silylated arms have been synthesized and grafted to the surface of silica gel and ordered mesoporous silica samples. The resulting organic-inorganic hybrids have been incorporated into carbon paste electrodes and applied to the preconcentration electroanalysis of Pb(II). A handy and accessible tool for identification of Sn(II) in toothpaste.

AbstractAn easily accessible colorimetric probe, a carbazole–naphthaldehyde conjugate (CNP), was successfully prepared for the selective and sensitive recognition of Sn(II) in different commercially-available toothpaste and mouth wash samples. The binding mechanism of CNP for Sn2+ was confirmed by UV–Vis, 1H, and 13C NMR titrations. The proposed sensing mechanism was supported by quantum chemical calculations. Selective detection of Sn(II) in the nanomolar range (85 nM), among other interfering metal ions, makes it exclusive.
