W artykule przedstawiono ocenę zagrożenia walorów fizjonomicznych krajobrazu wzdłuż drogi krajowej Myślenice – Zakopane, jednej z najważniejszych dróg turystycznych Polski. Podstawą analizy była inwentaryzacja obiektów reklamy zewnętrznej po obydwu stronach drogi w pasmach o szerokości 100 m. Badany obszar ma bardzo istotne znaczenie w percepcji krajobrazów górskich polskiej części Karpat. W wyniku przeprowadzonej analizy stwierdzono bardzo wysoki stopień zagrożenia walorów widokowych przez reklamy. Zinwentaryzowano 1096 obiektów reklamowych, co daje średnie zagęszczenie ok. 18 reklam na 1 km drogi. Na najbardziej zagrożonych odcinkach w Zakopanem i Rabce obiekty reklamowe występują średnio…

Artykuł przedstawia zastosowanie koncepcji zależności ścieżkowej (path dependence) do analizy wybranych trajektorii rozwojowych krajów (gospodarek), które zostały omówione przez Immanuela Wallersteina w pracach na temat nowoczesnego systemu-świata. W tekście zaprezentowano podstawowe założenia zależności ścieżkowej jako zjawiska oraz jako koncepcji pozwalającej na interpretację związków przyczynowo-skutkowych w rozwoju technologii oraz w bardziej złożonych opisach rozwoju społeczno-historycznego. Następnie szczegółowej analizie poddano trzy wybrane przypadki trajektorii gospodarek w okresie powstawania nowoczesnego systemu-świata: Polski, Wenecji i Anglii.
Browning-induced changes in trophic functioning of planktonic food webs in temperate and boreal lakes: insights from fatty acids

AbstractThe effects of lake browning on trophic functioning of planktonic food webs are not fully understood. We studied the effects of browning on the response patterns of polyunsaturated fatty acids and n−3/n−6 ratio in seston and compared them between boreal and temperate lakes. We also compared the regional differences and the effects of lake browning on the reliance of zooplankton on heterotrophic microbial pathways and the mass fractions of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in zooplankton. Hydrodistillation of the flowers (BpFl) of and fruits (BpFr) of Bupleurum fontanesii Guss. ex Caruel gave two oils that were analyzed by GC and GC-MS. The main components were α-elemol (16.7%), caryophyllene oxide (16.4%) and heptacosane (15.9%) in BpFl, and spathulenol (16.8%), caryophylladienol I (13.2%) and α-elemol (12.8%) in BpFr. A good antimicrobial activity against several microorganisms, including Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Fusarium oxysporum and Aspergillus niger, all infesting historical art craft, was also determined.

Methods: About 9000 individuals 65 years and older were included in the 3C cohort study since 1999 in 3 French cities (Bordeaux, Dijon and Montpellier).
