Outdoor Scenes Pixel-wise Semantic Segmentation using Polarimetry and Fully Convolutional Network

International audience; In this paper, we propose a novel method for pixel-wise scene segmentation application using polarimetry. To address the difficulty of detecting highly reflective areas such as water and windows, we use the angle and degree of polarization of these areas, obtained by processing images from a polarimetric camera. A deep learning framework, based on encoder-decoder architecture, is used for the segmentation of regions of interest. International audience; This paper presents a novel method to identify the 2D axial Magnetic Resonance (MR) slice from a pre-acquired MR prostate volume that closely corresponds to the 2D axial Transrectal Ultrasound (TRUS) slice obtained during prostate biopsy. The shape-context representations of the segmented prostate contours in both the imaging modalities are used to establish point correspondences using Bhattacharyya distance. Domain separation for efficient adaptive active learning

This paper proposes a procedure aimed at efficiently adapting a classifier trained on a source image to a similar target image. The adaptation is carried out through active queries in the target domain following a strategy particularly designed for the case where class distributions have shifted between the two images. Texture analysis for infarcted myocardium detection on delayed enhancement MRI

Detection of infarcted myocardium in the left ventricle is achieved with delayed enhancement magnetic resonance imaging (DE-MRI). However, manual segmentation is tedious and prone to variability. We studied three texture analysis methods (run-length matrix, co-occurrence matrix, and autoregressive model) in combination with histogram features to characterize the infarcted myocardium. We evaluated 10 patients with chronic infarction to select the most discriminative features and to train a support vector machine (SVM) classifier. On the classification of observations structured into groups

The paper is concerned with the problem of classifying a specific group into two populations (insect eggs of the same clutch belonging therefore to the same species). Two approaches, one parametric and the other non-parametric, are described. The classical likelihood ratio procedure is derived. An interpretation and a decomposition of the test criteria is given. A misclassification estimate using the Chernoff–Kullback–Kailath region is provided.

Zusammenfassung Das Verteilungsmuster der DNase-Aktivitaten im Seminalplasma von 9 Normalpersonen und 18 Patienten mit einem pathologischen Spermabefund wurde mit dem mikro-disc-elektrophoretischen Verfahren untersucht. Dabei ergaben die Aktivitatsbestimmungen der DNase bei Patienten mit einer Oligoasthenoteratozoospermie als auch bei alien Probanden, die einen pathologischen Spermabefund aufwiesen, in der 1. und 2.
