Speaking from above and below -The Gospel of John as metaphorical and narrative reference to a distant reality

The one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks from the earth (Jn 3:31). How can one speak from the earth and at the same time about heavenly things? The Fourth Gospel (FG) creates a tension between these two realms of perception and cognition. To reach beyond or above the earth we have to transcend time and space, our individual context and limited visual horizon. To overcome the obstacle of confined space we can rely on metaphors since their key faculty is to transport (μετα-φέρω). To transcend the limitations of time we can recruit the genre of narration. Paula Lakševica (Lackschewitz; 1865 – 1936) Moricsalā ievāktais vijolītes Viola canina × uliginosa herbārijs glabājas Herbarium Latvicum (RIG II) kolekcijā Latvijas Universitātes Muzeja Botānikas un mikoloģijas kolekcijās. Herbārijs ir ievākts, veicot sākotnējo salas floras izpēti, kurā piedalījās vairāki Baltijas dabaspētnieki. Izpētes rezultāti kalpoja par pamatu, Moricsalas dabas rezervāta izveidei.

Marxist ideas influenced and inspired psychological thinking and practice in the 20th century in a range of ways. In different parts of the world, unique versions of Marxist psychology emerged as answers to questions and problems raised by specific historical contexts. A New Evangelization in the life of the family and the church

The Church is at all times guiding the truth and credibility of the Gospel. Reflecting on the role of the New Evangelization in the family, it is worth stopping at the concept and meaning of the family. The family is holy, as St. John Paul II is a place where life is properly protected and can develop. The family is a community of people who aspires to eternal life. In Christian terms, the family is a community of parents and children built on the relationship of man and woman. As the Dogmatic Constitution on the Church of Lumen Gentium emphasizes, the family is referred to as the home church. This is where the functions of the Church are fulfilled: priesthood, royal and prophetic.

Photon emission in neutral current interactions with nucleons and nuclei

We report on our study of photon emission induced by Enu ~ 1 GeV (anti)neutrino neutral current interactions with nucleons and nuclei. This process is an important background for nu_e appearance oscillation experiments. At the relevant energies, the reaction is dominated by the excitation of the Delta (1232) resonance but there are also non-resonant contributions that, close to threshold, are fully determined by the effective chiral Lagrangian of strong interactions. We have obtained differential and integrated cross section for the (anti)neutrino-nucleon scattering and compare them with previous results.
