More and More Lies. A New Distinction and its Consequences
2017
In this article, we present a distinction (within the category of ‘deceptive …
El análisis marxista de las necesidades sociales
2018
The disappearance of the so-called «real socialism» has concealed the validity of the Marxist analysis of social reality. One of the sets of hypotheses that has best maintained its heuristic capacity is the Marxist theory of needs. The Marxist hypotheses have been developed in debate with other conventional conceptions. Currently, feminism and the ecological analysis of needs are renewing the views of Heller and Habermas.
The Correlation Between Human Capital and Gross Added Value in the Bioeconomy Sectors at the European Union (EU) Country Level
2019
Abstract The paper aims to prove the link between human capital and gross added value in bioeconomy sectors in the EU countries. Data from EUROSTAT data base regarding employment and gross added value in 6 bioeconomy sectors were used in a cross-country regression analysis. The econometric analysis of cross-country data shows a positive correlation between human capital in bioeconomy sectors and their gross output in 2015 in 26 European countries. It is found also that the correlation is stronger in the highly developed economies as in the central-eastern countries, as well as in the European economy.

High Lipid Content of Prey Fish and n−3 PUFA Peroxidation Impair the Thiamine Status of Feeding-Migrating Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) and Is Reflec…
2022
Signs of impaired thiamine (vitamin B1) status in feeding-migrating Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) were studied in three Baltic Sea areas, which differ in the proportion and nutritional composition of prey fish sprat (Sprattus sprattus) and herring (Clupea harengus). The concentration of n−3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n−3 PUFAs) increased in salmon with dietary lipids and n−3 PUFAs, and the hepatic peroxidation product malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration increased exponentially with increasing n−3 PUFA and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n−3) concentration, whereas hepatic total thiamine concentration, a sensitive indicator of thiamine status, decreased with th…
French Vaccine Pass to the Test of the Constitutional Council: Some Considerations in the Light of the European Convention on Human Rights

On 21 January 2022 the French Constitutional Council issued a ruling on the constitutionality of the law which aimed to make the access to a very large number of places subject to a vaccine pass. The article then analyses the most recent judgement of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) which regarded mandatory vaccinations. Specifically, the judgment focuses on the recent case Vavři¹ka and Others v. the Czech Republic which explained the mai…
