Oppimisen laatu ja opiskelun joustavuus: ohjauksellisen pedagogiikan ydin

Blended learning Jyväskylän yliopiston avoimessa yliopistossa kuvataan blended learningin ajatusta käsitteellä ohjauksellinen pedagogiikka. Se edustaa pedagogisia ratkaisuja, jotka tukevat opiskelijan aktiivista ja yksilöllistä oppimista sekä tarjoavat joustavia opiskelumahdollisuuksia. Toisaalta sillä ymmärretään opettajan pedagogista taitoa organisoida opetus siten, että opiskelijan oppimispolku olisi eheä, mielekäs ja tuottaisi hyviä oppimistuloksia.

From Face-to-Face to Online UDeL Camps: Supporting Staff at Higher Education Institutions in Developing Universal Design for eLearning (UDeL)

The TINEL Project is running a series of camps for staff at higher education institution to support them in developing inclusive eLearning. The first camp was conducted face-to-face, but the coronavirus pandemic meant that the second camp was conducted online. This created a case study in inclusive eLearning in itself and allowed us to experience and reflect on the challenges and opportunities of inclusive online teaching and learning. An identifiable segment of the previous research that relates to improving students’ group work conditions is the study of group formation and self- and peer-assessment. This study examines university teachers’ beliefs about the role of technology in achieving the pedagogical aims of learning within teaching development initiatives at a Finnish university. The initiatives targeted technology adoption in teaching and learning and were enhanced within teacher groups, with support from a university level network program. MathCheck is a relatively new online tool that gives students feedback on their solutions to elementary university mathematics and theoretical computer science exercises. MathCheck was designed with constructivism learning theory in mind and it differs from other online tools as it checks the solutions step by step and shows a counter-example if the step is incorrect.
