Introduction and objectivesThe health authorities recommend a reduction in salt (NaCl) and fat contents of foodstuff. Reducing such components without affecting acceptability is a major challenge, particularly because of the interactions with other ingredients such as aroma compounds. Abstract The article investigates the question of the experiential location of the area of play, comparing the accounts of Eugen Fink and Donald Winnicott. It argues that while Fink builds on the phenomenological distinction between subjective phantasy and external perception, and accordingly introduces the area of play as a hybrid realm, a peculiar combination of the two, Winnicott considers the area of play as something that underlies and developmentally precedes the experiential differentiation between phantasy and external reality. In this paper we discuss a study on the approaches to modeling of students of the 4-year elementary school teacher program at the University of Palermo, Italy. The answers to a specially designed questionnaire are analyzed on the basis of an a priori analysis made using a general scheme of reference on the epistemology of mathematics and physics. The study is performed by using quantitative data analysis methods, i.e. factorial analysis of the correspondences and implicative analysis. The effects of alternative navigation device display features on drivers' visual sampling efficiency while searching forpoints of interest were studied in two driving simulation experiments with 40 participants. Given that the number of display items was sufficient, display features that facilitate resumption of visual search following interruptions were expected to lead to more consistent in-vehicle glance durations. The study subject are Polish translations of the French structure NP1 + voir + NP2 + infinitive; we reject cases where the NP1 is represented by the pronoun on, and concentrate on translations in which the infinitive is not rendered. The analysis is based on the corpus of texts embracing 58 pairs of examples, each of which contains a French sentence with the investigated construction and a Polish sentence with its equivalent. Our aim is to identify factors which make translators erase the French infinitive. Not keeping an adequate safe distance is one of the elements that are directly related to traffic accidents. The main objective of this research was to identify the aspects that modulate the safe distance-accidents relation. Specifically, the frequency and reasons why drivers do not keep the safe distance, the perception of drivers regarding the probability of penalty, the penalties imposed and their severity, and the drivers’ opinion on the effectiveness of such penalties in order to change this behavior.
