Purpose: To compare conventional internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling versus inverted flap technique in small-to-medium idiopathic macular hole. Methods: Eyes with ≤400 μ m idiopathic macular holes were randomized into the conventional ILM peeling group (25 eyes) and inverted flap group (25 eyes). A 12-month follow-up was considered. Macular sensitivity (MS) change detected with MP-1 microperimetry was the primary outcome. Fat plug myringoplasty: Analysis of a safe procedure for small tympanic perforations

Objective: Assessment of value of fat plug myringoplasty as office-based procedure in small tympanic membrane perforations. Material and Methods: Prospective study of consecutive patients undergoing fat plug myringoplasty under local anesthesia. Minimum follow-up considered was 6 months, which included several microscopic examinations. All data were recorded and analyzed statistically. Results: 33 patients matched the inclusion criteria; the mean perforation size was 2.8 mm. No change in PTA was noted after surgery in the whole series. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to review the current management of macular hole retinal detachment in highly myopic eyes. METHODS: We searched English MEDLINE databases from January 1997 to January 2011 for surgical management of macular hole retinal detachment in highly myopic eyes. The main outcomes reported include retinal reattachment and visual acuity after primary surgery. Se presenta un ejemplo inédito de epigrafía ibéric a en una peculiar «chapa» lenticular de bronce. Descontextualizada arqueológicamente, la pieza presenta tres perforaciones, las cuales indicarían que se hicieron para portarla col gada o cosida a modo de amuleto. An unpublished sample of Iberian epigraphy on an o dd bronze, lenticular token is introduced.
