My thesis project focuses on the challenges of modernizing the justice system. The reason for this choice is that Senegal, after having originally set up a dual system of juridiction in 1960, made major reforms of its judicial organization in 1984,1992, 2008 and ultimately in 2015. Meanwhile,the country signed the Port Louis Treaty establishing the OHADA which set up a common Court of Justice and Arbitration, a Judicial Academy and led to adoption of 10 uniform acts that govern the business law in the 17 member states. In present days the storical heritage the transmission of art and its performance is very important argument of debate. Its representation is the building museum in many different forms. The building museum of art is the most important place for exsposition of masterpieces instead the museum of architecture exhibits the works through projects and patterns. Today museum reconstructs the human perception of space using new technologies. The same thing happens for the museum of science and technique where the visitor gets involved in scientific representation. Therefore museum can be a place of study and scientific research. It can be either memory of past times or place of contemporaneity. In this article the fi rst results of the performance analysis of the photovoltaic glassblock are given. The photovoltaic glassblock is an innovative product which integrates third generation solar cells (DSSC) invented for the construction of translucent building envelopes energetically effi cient and “active” able to reduce the energy consumption in buildings and to produce at the same time green energy. The analysis was conducted on four different hypotheses of integration through numerical simulations in order to evaluate the energy absorption and the optical performance of the device. The software simulations represent a fi rst step for the understanding of the performance of the element and prelude to an experimental analysis session. The results of a research conducted about national and international patents publications on the DSSC technology and its applications will be illustrated too. Flipping burgers or flipping pages? Student employment and academic attainment in post-Soviet Latvia

Latvian higher education has undergone a dramatic transition since 1991. This study employs a survey of nearly 1000 social science students studying in 13 different institutions in Latvia to consider the impact of the increase in the number of students who are working while studying. Evidence indicates employment has a strong and significant negative impact on school performance, and the negative impact increases as weekly hours worked increase. This manifests itself through reduced class attendance and reduced time spent in independent study. Abstract As the number of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) has increased, the economics associated with their management have become more relevant. The efficiency assessment is therefore a useful tool for cost reduction. For this purpose, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a highly suitable technique, since it is a holistic approach that aggregates performance indicators into a single index. However, one of the most common criticisms of DEA models is that information on uncertainty estimates is not provided.
