Among adolescents, many parenting practices have been associated with the initiation and development of drinking behaviors. However, recent studies suggest discrepancies in parents' and adolescents' perceptions of parenting and their links with adolescent use. In this study, we derive two independent sets of underlying parenting profiles (based on parent and adolescent reported behaviors at age 11–12 years), which were then examined in relation to adolescents' drinking behaviors at ages 14 and 17½. 1800-luvulla kirjoilla oli esineinä vielä rahallista ja yhteiskunnalliseen statukseen liittyvää arvoa, ja omistajan kuolema aloitti yleensä vain uuden luvun kirjan elämässä. Tutkin kuolinpesien kirjakokoelmien kohtaloja käyttämällä esimerkkinä erästä 1800-luvun lopun tapausta, jossa leskipastorska Pihl antoi kotikirjastonsa kirjoja helsinkiläiselle Minerva-antikvariaatille myytäväksi. Perhe nähdään usein monoliittina, joka on pysynyt muuttumattomana yhteiskunnan peruspilarina läpi vuosisatojen. Monille menneisyyden perhe hohtaa nostalgista valoa, vastakohtana nykyajan sirpaleisena pidetylle perhe-elämälle. Uusi artikkelikokoelma käy läpi perheitä, perhesuhteita ja perheensisäisiä tunnesiteitä eri historiallisissa konteksteissa ja yhteiskuntaryhmissä. Teos nostaa esiin erityisesti perheen moninaisuutta ja muuttuvuutta. Parental Burnout Across the Globe During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all societies worldwide. The heightened levels of stress that accompanied the crisis were also expected to affect parenting in many families. Since it is known that high levels of stress in the parenting domain can lead to a condition that has severe consequences for health and well-being, we examined whether the prevalence of parental burnout in 26 countries (9,923 parents; 75% mothers; mean age 40) increased during COVID-19 compared to few years before the pandemic.
