This study describes the values and continuity within long-lasting family businesses as seen through Bronfenbrenner's (1979) ecological theory. In this study long-lasting family businesses are seen as enterprises that have been owned for over 30 years by the same family and/or genders and the business might also continue within the same owner family.The value and continuity profiles are seen through the framework of Bronfenbrenner's (1979) ecological theory through family, business and ownership (Tagiuri & Davis 1992, 1996).
