Nuclear localization but not PML protein is required for incorporation of the papillomavirus minor capsid protein L2 into virus-like particles.

ABSTRACT Recent reports suggest that nuclear domain(s) 10 (ND10) is the site of papillomavirus morphogenesis. The viral genome replicates in or close to ND10. In addition, the minor capsid protein, L2, accumulates in these subnuclear structures and recruits the major capsid protein, L1. We have now used cell lines deficient for promyelocytic leukemia (PML) protein, the main structural component of ND10, to study the role of this nuclear protein for L2 incorporation into virus-like particles (VLPs). Teacher-child interaction quality and children's self-regulation in toddler classrooms in Finland and Portugal

This study examines the association between teacher–child interaction quality and children's self‐regulation in Finnish and Portuguese toddler classrooms. The participants included 230 Finnish (M = 29; SD = 3 months) and 283 Portuguese (M = 30, SD = 4 months) toddlers and their teachers (n = 43 Finland; n = 29 Portugal). The children's behavioural self‐regulation (attention, working memory, and inhibition control) was individually tested, and the teachers evaluated the children's self‐regulation skills in the classroom. Our recent data suggest that during auto- and allograft recognition in sponges (Porifera), cytokines are differentially expressed. Since the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signal transduction modulates the synthesis and release of cytokines, we intended to identify one key molecule of this pathway. Therefore, a cDNA from the marine sponge Suberites domuncula encoding the MAPK was isolated and analyzed. Pienten lasten osallisuus vuorohoidon iltojen vuorovaikutustilanteissa

Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan, kuinka pienten lasten osallisuus toteutuu vuorohoidon iltojen vuorovaikutustilanteissa ja millaisia haasteita tähän liittyy. Aineisto kerättiin havainnoimalla 20–36 kk ikäisten lasten iltoja kahdessa erilaisessa vuoropäiväkodissa. Temaattisen analyysin perustana toimivat Lundyn (2007) kuvaamat, Yhdistyneiden Kansakuntien (YK) lapsen oikeuksien sopimuksen artiklaan 12 pohjautuvat lasten osallisuuden edellytykset. Huomion kohteena olivat erityisesti työntekijöiden toiminta ja sen lapsille luomat mahdollisuudet ilmaista mielipiteitään sekä tulla kuulluksi ja huomioiduksi. Čukstošo galerijas modu (ČGM) rezonatori ir sfēriskas formas objekti, kas ir taisīti no optiski caurspīdīgiem materiāliem un ir spējīgi uzturēt optiski cirkulējošu vilni iekšā sfērā, izmantojot pilnīgu iekšējo atstarošanos. Ja ir monohromātisks gaismas avots ar konstantu intensitāti, tad vilnis, kas kustās pa lodes perimetru, sāk konstruktīvi interferēt. Šajā gadījumā rodas rezonanse, ko sauc par čukstošo galeriju modu (ČGM), pēc analoģijas no akustikas. Darbā tiek aplūkots koncepts, ka ČGM rezonatorus varētu izmantot kā temperatūras sensorus.
