Pharmacies in Bulgaria have a monopoly on the dispensing of medicinal products that are authorized in the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as medical devices, food additives, cosmetics, and sanitary/hygienic articles. Aptekari (pharmacists) act as responsible pharmacists, pharmacy owners, and managers. They follow a five year Masters of Science in Pharmacy (M.Sc. Pharm.) degree course with a six month traineeship. Pomoshnik-farmacevti (assistant pharmacists) follow a three year degree with a six month traineeship. They can prepare medicines and dispense OTC medicines under the supervision of a pharmacist. Appropriateness of requests for human serum albumin at the University Hospital of Palermo, Italy: a prospective study

Abstract OBJECTIVE: First, to assess the appropriateness of requests for albumin using current guidelines; second, to evaluate physicians' compliance with this protocol. DESIGN: Descriptive, prospective study. SETTING: 'Paolo Giaccone' University Hospital in Palermo (Italy). PARTICIPANTS: The six departments with the highest orders for albumin. INTERVENTION: An experimental, pharmacist-driven process for daily orders of albumin was activated over a period of 1 month. Pharmacy personnel handed out order forms on six different wards. Darba vides riska faktoru un stresa ietekme uz Liepājas aptiekā strādājošo farmaceitu darba spējām

Maģistra darbā ir pētīti darba vides riska faktori un stresa ietekme uz farmaceitiem, un to saistība ar nodarbināto darbspējām. Darbs sastāv no trīs daļām. Pirmajā daļā ir apkopota un analizēta literatūra par farmaceitu profesiju, kā arī ergonomiskiem un psihosociāliem riskiem. Otrajā daļā aprakstītas pētījumā lietotās metodes, bet trešajā daļā veikta iegūto rezultātu apkopošana un analīze. Literatūras analīze liecina, ka farmaceiti, kuri strādā aptiekā, pakļauti daudzveidīgiem darba vides risku faktoriem (fiziskiem, ergonomiskiem, psihosociāliem).
