En 1973 el dibujante y humorista Chumy Chúmez publicó la novela gráfica, Chumy Chúmez. Una biografía. A partir de la técnica del collage, recupera grabados del siglo XIX y brinda un explícito homenaje a sus grandes ilustradores. La obra, escrita en los años finales del régimen franquista, requiere ser analizada en el contexto político de su producción, pero también en el sistema literario y artístico de los años 70. De ambas coordenadas surge un relato gráfico que mediante la fragmentación, la elipsis y la sugerencia, interna al lector en el clima moral de la dictadura. Due vasi Centuripe a Palermo sono stati analizzati utilizzando XRF portatile complementare e FTIR a riflessione totale spettroscopie. Le analisi consentono di chiarire la tavolozza e la tecnica della decorazione (pittura a tempera con un legante organico), e mostrano la presenza di pigmenti sia antichi che moderni (a causa di qualche recente riverniciatura). The retrieval of information in a standard database can be obtained in different ways and in some cases a number of steps are necessary to extract the sought for information. More difficulties exist when we are looking for a pictorial information in a database. This paper presents a method for finding an image in a biological database based on elliptical Fourier descriptors. Fourier descriptors are considered here as textual information and a distance function is proposed to evaluate the best result. Fourier descriptors and distance function are used to retrieve image in pictorial database.

In spite of several studies, these components are mainly known in bivalves from only few members of pteriomorph groups. Abstract Pictures and film clips are widely used and accepted stimuli to elicit emotions. Based on theoretical arguments it is often assumed that the emotional effects of films exceed those of pictures, but to date this assumption has not been investigated directly. The aim of the present study was to compare pictures and films in terms of their capacity to induce emotions verified by means of explicit measures.
