My presentation focuses on interdisciplinarity and interculturality on the basis of two novels, "Les Nuits de Strasbourg" by Assia Djebar and "Le Village de l'Allemand ou le journal des frères Schiller" by Boualem Sansal. Firstly, I reflect in a general way on interdisciplinarity and its affinity with interculturality before addressing these issues in my corpus and in my work. Omassa Pro gradu -tutkielmassani pureudun Suomen ja suomalaisten taiteilijoiden osallistumiseen Venetsian nykytaiteen biennaaliin, sekä siinä vallitsevaan problematiikkaan kasvavan kulttuuriviennin aikana. Seuraan mukanaolon kehitystä ja jalostumista nykyiselle tasolleen, tuoden esille sen ongelmia ja toisaalta mahdollisuuksia. Kansallisella kuvataiteen kentällä Venetsian biennaaliin osallistumiselle annetaan paljon painoarvoa, koska biennaali on yksi nykytaiteen tärkeimmistä reiteistä kansainvälisyyteen. Data-driven estimation of the invisible energy of cosmic ray showers with the Pierre Auger Observatory

The determination of the primary energy of extensive air showers using the fluorescence detection technique requires an estimation of the energy carried away by particles that do not deposit all their energy in the atmosphere. This estimation is typically made using Monte Carlo simulations and thus depends on the assumed primary particle mass and on model predictions for neutrino and muon production. In this work we present a new method to obtain the invisible energy from events detected by the Pierre Auger Observatory.
