La question du bonheur dans l'oeuvre de Christian Bobin
2012
This thesis looks at happiness as perceived and shown in Christian Bobin's works. For this purpose, we used the approach of Bachelard to define Bobin’s symbolic element of happiness: the flame. To deal with the problem of time and its complexity, involved in our main problem, we applied theories of Bachelard, Bergson and those of modern physics, as well as the “logic of the contradictory” (of Lupasco). The images associated with intellect are analyzed based on Henry Corbin's works and are defined as “image- body-reality”. They testify of a mysticism which tends to “geopoetic” and the Unity of the universe. A language of “anima / animus” and a process of production of meaning, “the helix of …
Lay definitions of happiness across nations: The primacy of inner harmony and relational connectedness
2016
In well-being research the term happiness is often used as synonymous with life satisfaction. However, little is known about lay people's understanding of happiness. Building on the available literature, this study explored lay definitions of happiness across nations and cultural dimensions, analyzing their components and relationship with participants' demographic features. Participants were 2799 adults (age range = 30-60, 50% women) living in urban areas of Argentina, Brazil, Croatia, Hungary, India, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, and United States. They completed the Eudaimonic and Hedonic Happiness Investigation (EHHI), reporting, among other information, th…
Aktiivisen voimatyyppisen palautumisharjoitteen vaikutus voimantuottoon ja lihasaktiivisuuteen
2010
Riina Flink. 2010. Aktiivisen voimatyyppisen palautumisharjoitteen vaikutus voimantuottoon ja lihasaktiivisuuteen. Kandidaatin tutkielma, Biomekaniikka, Liikuntabiologian laitos, Jyväskylän yliopisto. 52 s. Voimatyyppisen harjoitteen vaikutusta voimaharjoituksesta palautumiseen on tutkittu hyvin vähän. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena olikin tutkia aktiivisen palautumisjakson vaikutusta raskaasta jalkaprässiharjoituksesta palautumiseen. Aktiivisen palautumisen ryhmä (AP, 5 koehenkilöä) suoritti harjoituksen jälkeen aktiivisen jalkaprässiharjoitteen (10x10) 30% kuormalla alkuperäisestä maksimikuormasta. Passiivisen palautumisen ryhmä (PP, 9 koehenkilöä) taas suoritti passiivisen palautumisjak…
Effect of the Cement and Limestone Industry on the Chemical Properties of Water Beneath Tree Canopies
2018
This study is a continuation of earlier research aimed at determining the changes in the quality of precipitation beneath the canopy in pine stands affected by the emission of alkaline pollutants. This study was conducted in the Gorazdze Forest District, in a forest complex in south-western Poland affected by the cement and limestone industry. The rainwater measurements under the canopy of Scots pine were made according to the methodology of the environmental monitoring. Wet and dry deposits, thus the total pollution load brought into the forest ecosystem, were analysed. The pH and electrical conductivity was measured in collected water samples. The results showed differences between precip…
Tiempos felices: Transformaciones en las tecnologías psicológicas de gobierno de la subjetividad
2020
This paper traces some inflections in the psy disciplines? discourses and technologies for the government of subjectivity during the last decades. It is focused on exploring different mechanisms through which psychological disciplines ?their discourses, techniques and practices? penetrate social life and contribute to establishing subject models consistent with transformations in the political and economic rationalities of late capitalism. Drawing on previous research in the field of gender politics and happiness discourses in the pop psychological culture, I track a line with three moments: i) the production of psychological individuality and identity normalization; ii) the proliferation o…
