AbstractThis chapter investigates the close relationship between the list form and experimental writing, and the poetic and literary usage of the form in the ideologically countercultural experimental setting of the 1960s. The focus is on Finnish literature of the decade and texts that utilize the culinary forms of recipe and menu, both of which are essentially based on listing. The texts examined, thus, combine two traditions: the history of food listings in literature, and the fondness for the list form in experimental and avant-garde traditions. This essay studies what happens to the poetics of a text that was first written on or for a certain internet platform when it is later copy-pasted to a different literary medium – that of an edited and printed book. The main target of the discussion is Finnish author Karri Kokko’s conceptual literary work Retweeted (2016), a print-on-demand book, the roots of which are firmly in both the traditions of print media and the digital interfaces of the social media platform Twitter. Käsittelen artikkelissani kirjoituskoneella toteutettua konkreettista runoutta kielen materiaalisuuden näkökulmasta. Analysoin Steve McCafferyn 1960- ja 70-luvun tuotantoa, joka on tekstuuriltaan siinä määrin runsasta ja jopa kaoottista, että sitä on luonnehdittu termillä dirty concrete (erotuksena 50-luvun viileästä, hallitusta ja puhdaslinjaisesta konkretismista). McCafferyllä (s. 1947) on yhteyksiä yhdysvaltalaiseen kokeelliseen runouteen, erityisesti niin sanottuun language-suuntaukseen, jonka piirissä teoretisoitiin 1970-luvulta lähtien kysymystä kielen materiaalisuudesta.
