Nowe stanowiska korowcowatych (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Aradidae) w Polsce

New faunistic data on the occurrence of flat-bugs Aradidae in Poland are presented. Data concerning a total of 13 species of flat-bugs are presented, including five species very rarely collected in Poland: Aradus bimaculatus, A. brevicollis, A. erosus, A. truncatus and Mezira tremulae. The distributional data relating to rarely collected species and information about their biology is reviewed.

[The first discovery of the long-winged Prostemma aeneicolle Stein, 1857 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Nabidae) specimen in Lower Silesia]. Prostemma aeneicolle occurs most often as a short-winged specimen, and long-winged individuals are infre-quent. Such a specimen was found for the second time in Poland and for the first time in Lower Silesia. The first occurrence of this species in Opole was also reported.

Postać Jana Karola Chodkiewicza (1686–1712) z linii supraskiej nie doczekała się do tej pory swojego opracowania choćby w postaci noty biograficznej. Artykuł niniejszy przybliża więc wybrany fragment z życiorysu wyżej wymienionego bohatera, który w latach 1700–1705 przebywał na naukach w szkole jezuickiej w Warszawie. Okres nauk stanowił ważne wydarzenie w życiu młodych magnatów, którzy w ich ramach przygotowywali się do służby państwowej i funkcjonowania w społeczeństwie szlacheckim. Nie inaczej było w przypadku Jana Karola, dziedzica ogromnej fortuny chodkiewiczowskiej, który resztę swojego krótkiego życia spędził później na sporach o dobra ojczyste. Artykuł stanowi próbę zaprezentowania postaci Jana Karola Chodkiewicza z linii supraskiej (1686–1712), syna starosty błudeńskiego i oboźnego wielkiego litewskiego Jerzego Karola Chodkiewicza oraz Marianny Tekli z Naruszewiczów, który do tej pory nie doczekał się żadnego szerszego opracowania naukowego. Is the riparian habitat creation an effective measure of plant conservation within the urbanized area?

The study presents results of habitat creation and riparian vegetation recovery in artificial oxbow lakes in urbanized area within the large river valley. The investigation of open water, rush and wet meadows flora and vegetation in three ponds located in the city centre of Opole was conducted in years 2001–2013. Oxbow lakes were constructed as a compensation measure and no vegetation was transplanted into the ponds on purpose. 13-years observation showed that (1) the red-listed species are able to spontaneous reoccurrence after habitat restoration, but they can thrive only in first years of oxbow lakes recolonisation process, (2) there are some restoration constraints, especially in relati…
