Si propone una significativa esemplificazione di ritratti di aristocratici siciliani di età moderna. Tra i ritratti tardo-cinquecenteschi vanno ricordati quelli commissionati dal cardinale Ludovico II Torres. Altri emblematici ritratti, esplicativi della moda, del costume e della ricchezza dei monili del XVII secolo, sono quelli della famiglia Branciforti dalla consorte di Francesco, Giovanna d’Austria, a Ercole, Fabrizio e Giuseppe Branciforti. Anne of Austria offers an important part, yet neglected, in the the development of royal iconography in seventeenth century France. Devoided from management of power under the reign of her husband Louis XIII, she is however the subject of many representations. The number of her images increases when she accedes to the responsibilities of the government at the death of the king, in 1643, becoming regent in the name of her minor son, Louis XIV. Beyond its majority in 1651, she maintains herself at a prominent place, until the death of Mazarin in 1661. Global dynamical behaviors in a physical shallow water system

International audience; The theory of bifurcations of dynamical systems is used to investigate the behavior of travelling wave solutions in an entire family of shallow water wave equations. This family is obtained by a perturbative asymptotic expansion for unidirectional shallow water waves. According to the parameters of the system, this family can lead to different sets of known equations such as Camassa-Holm, Korteweg-de Vries, Degasperis and Procesi and several other dispersive equations of the third order. The paper deals with the sculptural images of the Iulio-Claudian princesses that were found in SIcily,. Beside iconography, the statuary types, associations and contexts of the portraits are treated, in order to understand the meanings and the role of the honors payed to the domus Augusta by the cities of Roman Sicily in shaping the new cultural landscape of the province after Augustus.

Maahanmuuttajien määrä Suomessa on kasvanut räjähdysmäisesti sitten 1990-luvun. Muutos väestörakenteessa vaikuttaa myös suomalaisten koulujen arkeen ja opettajien työhön, mutta tutkimusta maahanmuuttajista erityisesti kieliaineiden oppijina on vähän. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena olikin selvittää millainen maahanmuuttajan kielellinen ympäristö Suomessa on ja erityisesti sitä millainen vaikutus sillä on kielten oppimiseen.
