Latvijas Universitātes paspārnē devīto gadu desmitu zaļo vecākais botāniskais dārzs Latvijā. Dārza 15 hektāru lielā teritorija ir daļa no Rīgas zaļās rotas ar kultūrvēsturisku vērtību. Tajā ir saglabājušās vairākas 18.–19. gadsimta ēkas – valsts nozīmes koka arhitektūras pieminekļi. Dārza kolekcijās ir augu sugas un to kultūrformas gan no Latvijas, gan no dažādām eksotiskām zemeslodes malām.

This work addresses the way in which Argentine Fat Activism has developed, in recent years, the demand for depathologization of fatness, taking elements from critical discourses on the health of fat people to frame them in a perspective typical of the Human Rights. First, the contemporary fat body is described in terms of stigma and discrimination, especially in the health field. Then, they refer to a series of critical positions on the pathologization and medicalization of fatness from the biomedical perspective, Fat Studies and Fat Activism. [ES] El objetivo de este trabajo es la caracterización de fases minerales presentes en materias primas utilizadas en la industria cerámica. Para ello se utilizan dos métodos cuantitativos basados en la difracción de rayos X, el método de Rietveld y un método sin estándar. Los resultados obtenidos por difracción rayos X de estos materiales policristalinos se comparan con los correspondientes análisis químicos y la composición normativa calculada. Postural Control Mechanisms in Healthy Adults in Sitting and Standing Positions

This study explored differences in the center of pressure in healthy people in a sitting and standing position and with eyes open and closed. With this purpose, 32 healthy participants (16 men, 16 women; M age = 25.2 yr., SD = 10.0, range = 18–55) were measured with an extensiometric force plate. Using a two–way repeated-measures multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), the root mean square, velocity, range, and sway, in both visual conditions, had higher values in the standing task than in the sitting task. This paper addresses discussions in post-Avicennan Arabic logic on the definition of metathetic propositions and their status in relation to existential import requirements, focusing on the arguments made by Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī (d. 606/1210) and the counter-arguments by Quṭb al-Dīn al-Rāzī al-Taḥtānī (d. 766/1365), who both establish their positions in the framework drawn by the most prominent figure in the tradition of classical Arabic logic, Avicenna (Ibn Sīnā, d. 428/1037). In this chapter the traditional legal issues concerning the identification of the subjects of international law is examined according to an original perspective. First of all, the legal regimes of self-determination, minorities and national reconciliation processes are seen, as a whole; namely, as expressions of the increasing legal value of civil societies (peoples, groups) in international law. International audience; Graphs of treewidth at most two are the ones excluding the clique with four vertices (K4) as a minor, or equivalently, the graphs whose biconnected components are series-parallel. We turn those graphs into a finitely presented free algebra, answering positively a question by Courcelle and Engelfriet, in the case of treewidth two. First we propose a syntax for denoting these graphs: in addition to parallel composition and series composition, it suffices to consider the neutral elements of those operations and a unary transpose operation.
