Branching fraction limits forB0decays toη′η,η′π0andηπ0

2006

We describe searches for decays to two-body charmless final states eta(')eta, eta(')pi(0) and eta pi(0) of B-0 mesons produced in e(+)e(-) annihilation. The data, collected with the BABAR detector at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, represent 232x10(6) produced B (B) over bar pairs. The results for branching fractions are, in units of 10(-6) (upper limits at 90% C.L.): B(B-0->eta(')eta)=0.2(-0.5)(+0.7)+/- 0.4( eta pi(0))=0.6(-0.4)(+0.5)+/- 0.1( eta(')pi(0))=0.8(-0.6)(+0.8)+/- 0.1(< 2.1). The first error quoted is statistical and the second systematic.

Antideuteron production inϒ(nS)decays and ine+e−→qq¯ats≈10.58  GeV

2014

We present measurements of the inclusive production of antideuterons in e^+e^− annihilation into hadrons at ≈10.58  GeV center-of-mass energy and in Υ(1S,2S,3S) decays. The results are obtained using data collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II electron-positron collider. Assuming a fireball spectral shape for the emitted antideuteron momentum, we find B(Υ(1S)→d[bar]X)=(2.81±0.49(stat)^(+0.20)_(−0.24)(syst))×10^(−5), B(Υ(2S)→d[bar]X)=(2.64±0.11(stat)^(+0.26)(−0.21)(syst))×10^(−5), B(Υ(3S)→d[bar]X)=(2.33±0.15(stat)^(+0.31)_(−0.28)(syst))×10^(−5), and σ(e^+e^− →d[bar]X)=(9.63±0.41(stat)^(+1.17)_(−1.01)(syst)  fb.

Search forD0→γγand improved measurement of the branching fraction forD0→π0π0

2015

Using 2.92 fb(-1) of electron-positron annihilation data collected at root s = 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the results of a search for the flavor-changing neutral current process D-0 -> gamma gamma using a double-tag technique. We find no signal and set an upper limit at 90% confidence level for the branching fraction of B(D-0 -> gamma gamma pi(0)pi(0)) = (8.24 +/- 0.21(stat) +/- 0.30(syst)) x 10(-4), the most precise measurement to date and consistent with the current world average.

Study of the decayDs+→K+K−e+νe

2008

Using 214fb-1 of data recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEPII electron-positron collider, we study the decay Ds+→K+K-e+νe. Except for a small S-wave contribution, the events with K+K- masses in the range 1.01-1.03GeV/c2 correspond to mesons. For Ds+→ e+νe decays, we measure the relative normalization of the Lorentz invariant form factors at q2=0, rV=V(0)/A1(0)=1.849±0.060±0.095, r2=A2(0)/A1(0)=0.763±0. 071±0.065 and the pole mass of the axial-vector form factors mA=(2.28-0.18+0.23±0.18)GeV/c2. Within the same K+K- mass range, we also measure the relative branching fraction B(Ds+→K+K-e+νe)/B(Ds+→K+K- π+)=0.558±0.007±0.016, from which we obtain the total branching fraction B(Ds+→ e+νe)=(2…

Constraining Nonstandard Neutrino-Electron Interactions

2007

We present a detailed analysis on nonstandard neutrino interactions (NSI) with electrons including all muon and electron (anti)-neutrino data from existing accelerators and reactors, in conjunction with the ``neutrino counting'' data (e- e+ -> nu nu gamma) from the four LEP collaborations. First we perform a one-parameter-at-a-time analysis, showing how most constraints improve with respect to previous results reported in the literature. We also present more robust results where the NSI parameters are allowed to vary freely in the analysis. We show the importance of combining LEP data with the other experiments in removing degeneracies in the global analysis constraining flavor-conservin…

MEASUREMENT OF THE PRODUCTION-RATES OF ETA AND ETA' IN HADRONIC-Z DECAYS

1992

The decays eta --> gammagamma and eta' --> etapi+pi- have been observed in hadronic decays of the Z produced at LEP. The fragmentation functions of both the eta and eta' have been measured. The measured multiplicities for x > 0.1 are 0.298 +/- 0.023 +/- 0.021 and 0.068 +/- 0.018 +/- 0.016 for eta and eta' respectively. While the fragmentation function for the eta is fairly well described by the JETSET Monte Carlo, it is found that the production rate of the eta' is a factor of four less than the corresponding prediction.
