Artykuł jest próbą syntezy przemian rodziny dokonujących się w epoce postmodernizmu. Sta-rano się pokazać przemiany w zakresie definiowania rodziny, liczby zawieranych małżeństw i mo-deli funkcjonujących w tej instytucji, przemiany w prokreacji oraz alternatywne do rodziny związki. The metanarrative of the “new father” has become well-established in both the public and academic discourses on families. This study analyzes the narratives and storylines about fatherhood told by young Finnish first-time fathers, and examines the interrelationship between these narratives and the metanarrative of the “new father.” Three different narratives were identified—the modern, the transition and the postmodern narratives of fathering. Tämä tutkielma tarkastelee Hannah Arendtin poliittisen ajattelun moderneja ja postmoderneja piirteitä. Tutkielma kartoittaa Arendtin ajattelun keskeisimmät teoreettiset taustavaikutteet ja motiivit, sekä esittelee Arendtin poliittisen filosofian keskeisimmät teoreettiset elementit. This essay aims to give a critical account of the main arguments involved in the debate about the so called «linguistic turn» in History. Bringing into discussion the most recent historiographical production, we argue that there is space for, and an unrgent need of, thinking seriously about the relationship between 'language' an 'history' without, necessarily, collapsing our discipline into a mere narrative or a postmodern technique of «reading the signs». We want to challenge, therefore, rhe rigid dichotomy between a perception of language as a reflection of social reality and a perception of language as the ultimate creator of it.

Saksalainen yhteiskunta, aivan kuin muutkin länsimaiset yhteiskunnat, on sosiaalirakenteeltaan jakaantunut useampaan ryhmään kuin aikaisemmin, esim. verrattuna agraariyhteiskunnan aikaan. Sosiaalirakenne on heterogeenisempi kuin ennen. Yhteiskunnat koostuvat kuitenkin myös ihmisryhmistä, joita yhdistävät asiat kuten: mm. tulot, ikä ja vapaa-ajanintressit. Erityisesti vapaa-ajan lisääntyminen selittää heterogenisoitumista - ihmiset voivat toteuttaa itseään useammalla tavalla. Erilaiset sosiaaliset ryhmät käyttävät myös kieltä eri tavoin.
