Reminiscencias mediterráneas en cerámica ibérica. El ejemplo del Corral de Saus (Mogente, Valencia)

La inicial revisión y el estudio del contexto arqueológico de esta necrópolis ibérica ha evidenciado un interesante conjunto de materiales, además de identificar diversos enterramientos y sus respectivos ajuares. A través de estos datos ha sido posible acotar, de una manera aproximada, los límites cronológicos de la necrópolis. En esta ocasión, a partir de la presentación de un conjunto de cerámicas ibéricas, valoramos el conocido y complejo fenómeno de las imitaciones cerámicas.

La excavación arqueológica en 2008 del yacimiento de la Fonteta Ràquia (Riba-Roja del Túria, València) permitió documentar un pequeño asentamiento rural de la Edetania, territorio de la antigua ciudad ibérica de Edeta / Tossal de Sant Miquel (Llíria, València). El núcleo estuvo ocupado entre finales del s. V a.C. y finales del III / comienzos del II a.C. Destaca, por encima de todo, por una gran especialización en apicultura, tal y como demuestra el hallazgo de miles de fragmentos de aproximadamente 200 colmenas cerámicas, superando con creces los registros precedentes de este tipo de actividad en Iberia y el Mediterráneo en general. The aim of this work is to examine whether it is possible to find chemical markers that allow a distinction to be made between the imported black glossed ‘Campanian A’ and the Sicilian imitation (end of fourth to first century bc) of these productions by carrying out quantitative chemical microanalysis of the slip using the SEM–EDS technique. The efficiency of the proposed analytical method has been tested on a set of ceramic samples corresponding to Sicilian black gloss imitations whose ceramic body has already been characterized petrographically by thin-section microscopy and chemically by XRF. Ceramic ethnoarchaeology has been used to explore fully the chaine operatoire and to understand all of the stages and factors involved in pottery production, such as raw material selection or paste recipes used by the potters. This work presents the results of the application of compositional analysis undertaken in the village of Pabillonis (western Sardinia, Italy), the main cooking ware production centre of the island. La fase del Ibérico final en el asentamiento del Torrelló del Boverot (Almazora, Castellón): dos piezas cerámicas singulares

Since the end of 1988, when excavation was resumed at the Torrelló del Boverot site in Almazora (Castellón), large amounts of material —mostly ceramics— have been recovered, dating from the end of the Iberian period, which, chronologically, marked the end of the village's life. This paper discusses two unusual ceramic pieces from this late period, documented during the excavations that took place in 1995, undertaken in the central area of the site. The records obtained in this work matches that of a batch of materials donated to the Museum of Almazora by the amateurs who excavated this village in the mid-1970s.
Compositional reference for the documented Archaic production of indigenous matt-painted pottery at Entella (Western Sicily)

This contribution is focused on a specific class of indigenous Archaic pottery (sixth and fifth century BC) with matt-painted geometric decoration that was recovered in large quantities in the excavations at Entella, an indigenous site located in western Sicily. The site of Entella was strategically considerable in this part of Sicily, controlling the north-south routes running along the river Belice. Kiln structures were attested at Entella that, until today, it is the only Archaic site in the area with an unmistakable evidence of production of fine pottery. Presentamos el estudio de los restos cerámicos de la fase neolítica de Kaf Taht el-Ghar (Mechrouha, Tetuán, Marruecos), enfocado principalmente en el análisis de técnicas y patrones decorativos. Ello cuenta con el interés añadido de corresponder, en su fase antigua, a las cerámicas asociadas a las primeras evidencias de agricultura y ganadería en el Magreb Occidental, encuadradas en el tercer cuarto del VI milenio cal AC. En dichas decoraciones dominan impresiones variadas, en particular las realizadas con concha estriada y lisa, peine y de cypraea. Offerings for the gate: a ritual deposit at the West Gate of la Bastida de les Alcusses (Moixent, Valencia)

En este trabajo se dan a conocer los resultados de las excavaciones llevadas a cabo en la Puerta Oeste de a Bastida de les Alcusses entre los años 2010 y 2011. Asociado a una renovación de las estructuras de la entrada y la muralla, se documentó un depósito de varios centenares de objetos incluyendo herrajes, maderas, armas, cerámica, semillas, frutos, fauna y restos constructivos. Presentamos el estudio multidisciplinar de todos los materiales y las varias líneas de interpretación que nos sugiere este extraordinario contexto.
Sources of geomaterials in the Sicani Mountains during the Early Middle Ages: A case study of Contrada Castro, central western Sicily

From 2017, an unknown rural settlement in Contrada Castro at Corleone (Palermo Province, western Sicily) was investigated as part of the `Harvesting Memories Project¿. The stratigraphic sequence, supported by radiocarbon dating, has demonstrated a reoccupation of a pre-Roman site during the transition between the Byzantine and Islamic periods. In particular, the main occupation occurred in the late 8th¿9th century when pottery kilns and a probable warehouse were constructed. En este trabajo presentamos un conjunto inédito de cerámicas importadas del denominado Sector G del poblado ibérico de La Serreta de Alcoi, recuperadas en las excavaciones del año 1968. El conjunto está compuesto por un repertorio variado que incluye desde ánforas a vajilla de mesa de barniz negro, abarcando un periodo amplio de tiempo entre los ss. V- IV a.C. y el III a.C. Es precisamente esta última fase la que resulta más interesante, ya que ha sido posible reconocer los contextos y establecer una distribución por departamentos.
