I would like to defend that in the period between the two World Wars there was a remarkable awareness of the inadequacy of words to give an account of the horror of the mass slaughter of the First World War. Also, that this awareness is coincident with the appearance of the the photo book genre. Se incluyen todos los recursos necesarios para llevarla a cabo en el nivel de 4º ESO. This work is made up of a general evaluation of the Master of Secondary Education Teacher, as well as a teaching unit focused in the First World War with an active methodology for the students. All the necessary resources are included to carry out it in the level of 4º ESO.

The study of attitudes towards statistics is a topic which has aroused the interest of researchers in different countries and at teaching levels. In this work we present an analysis of the psychometric properties, in terms of structural validity and internal consistency, of a Spanish version of the Survey of Attitudes Towards Statistics (SATS-36) administered to education students. The results obtained from the 409 participants indicate a lack of fit for the six-factor model proposed by the authors of the SATS, especially compared with the five-factor model with corrected mistakes that the authors of this work propose. AbstractIGF-II plays an important role in growth and development of vertebrates. In the present study, the characterization of the first fish IGF-II gene, chum salmon IGF-II, is described. The sIGF-II gene consists of four exons, spanning a region of 9 kbp, that encode the 214 aa IGF-II precursor. While the amino acid sequences of fully processed IGF-II of salmon and mammalian species are very similar, the prepro-peptide sequence deviates extensively in the signal- and E-peptide domains. The transcription initiation site of the sIGF-II gene was localized within a 30 nt region employing RT-PCR. Expressional dysregulation of the human neuronal nitric oxide synthase (NOS1) gene represents an important mechanism in the pathogenesis of certain neuronal disease states. The structure and regulation of the human NOS1 gene is highly complex based on cell type- and stimulus-dependent usage of multiple exon 1 variants. Here we demonstrate that the untranslated region of exon 2 exerts promoter and enhancer functions as well, facilitated in large part by cooperative interaction of two conserved adjacent CREB/AP-1 binding sites.
