2021
Abstract The purpose of this article is to point to trust as a value serving the coexistence of international community cooperation, as well as the elimination of global threats in public international law. The article presents selected approaches and typology of trust adopted in social sciences (with particular emphasis on the sociology of law as an auxiliary science of jurisprudence), their reference to the understanding and meaning of trust in public international law, as well as consequences in the form of shaping the quality and content of legislative solutions and practice of acting in the international arena. As a result of the conducted analyses, trust in international law can be co…

Diffusion of digital culture: analysis of the Internet forum of a MOOC
2017
When MOOCs are increasing all over the world as a mean for improving the diffusion of culture and science, it is interesting to observe how those MOOCS build communities of knowledge, and which is the impact of those communities on the acquisition of knowledge. In this article, we present the principles of design of the MOOC Digital & Culture Writing that aims to spread digital culture. Then, we analyse the messages posted on forums by the related community, and the cognitive process to which they refer. Posts analysis reveals reflexivity processes when participants are writing on forums. It appears that reflexivity cognitive processes are at the heart of both social interaction and digital…
Aksjologiczny wymiar Konstytucji Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej
2018
This paper is an attempt to show the axiological dimension of the currently binding basie law, i.e. the Constitution of the Republic of Poland of 1997. The text of the constitution is a carrier of the values important to Poles, and it is predisposed to this by its specific content, a superior position in the hierarchy of normative acts and a high social authority. The information about the most important values is already provided by the constitutional introduction (preamble) - it includes the most important values of the entire community of the State expressis verbis. Space and Time in Hybrid Teaching and Learning Environments : Two Cases and Design Principles
2022
The opportunities and challenges of teaching and learning in the same and different space and time have been discussed in the field of distance education for several decades. Within COVID-19, a new type of experimenting and research interest in so-called hybrid learning has emerged. In this article, we present the results from exploring “hybridity” from the perspective of classical categorizations of different forms of learning in terms of time and space. We explored the phenomenon through two cases with the same high-level strategic objective, serving hybrid interaction. In case A, we evaluated university library spaces renovated to serve hybrid teaching and learning. In case B, the focus …
A design framework and principles for co-designing learning environments fostering learning and wellbeing
2018
Increased understanding of the complex synergetic influences of psychosocial and physical learning environments (LEs) on learning and wellbeing has drawn attention to their careful design. Contemporary learner-centred educational paradigms emphasise the importance of learner involvement in the LE design. A gap exists, however, between the theoretical discourses of LE design and their application into educational practice. Furthermore, a lack of shared conceptual understanding among studies conducted in different cultural and disciplinary contexts undermines the comparability, generalisability, and build-up of a coherent body of knowledge on the LE design. This educational design research re…
System Design Principles for Intergenerational Knowledge Sharing
2022
Up to four generations are potentially involved in education and workspaces. This means that people of different generations can increasingly learn together and share knowledge virtually in the digital age. Nevertheless, the principles for designing systems to support intergenerational knowledge sharing (IKS) are inconclusive. Our results demonstrate the value of applying design science research methodology to capture design principles for IKS systems. We articulate what design goals should be considered and bring more conceptual clarity to this phenomenon by presenting five design principles: a) positive personalization, b) progressive design ecosystem, c) effectual system design, d) itera…
