Il commento alla decisione della Corte di Cassazione n. 24548 del 2 dicembre 2010 prende in esame specifici profili del contratto di gestione individuale di portafogli incentrandosi, in particolare, sulla disciplina e funzione del rendiconto di gestione e sulla portata del diritto di recesso riconosciuto al cliente nel corso di tale rapporto. In all European countries, migrant populations tend to have worse living conditions than native; this is particularly true for those born outside the EU. This paper proposes a new way to look at the relative living conditions of foreigners by looking at non-monetary (or ‘direct’) indicators of material deprivation in Italy-a country characterized by the presence of a wide range of nationalities. To examine differences in economic integration of foreigners, the paper documents deprivation differentials across groups of foreigners. The essay deals with a State aid case between companies belonging to the same corporate group. To clarify the concepts of ‘State resources’ and the misure imputable to the State, the essay suggests framing the concrete case within the framework of the so-called “in-house” company. This does not rule out the application of the private investor test in normal market conditions, which – if disregarded – can overcome the indistinction typical of “in-house” companies.

Profit Sharing the Firm-Size Wage Premium

This study analyzes the relationships among wages, firm size, and profit sharing schemes. We develop a simple theoretical model and explore the relationship empirically using high-quality panel data. The theoretical model shows that the firm-size wage premium decreases in the presence of profit sharing. The empirical results based on rich matched employee-employer data for private sector wage earners in Finland show that the firm-size wage premium is modest, and it becomes negligible when we account for profit sharing and covariates describing assortative matching and monopsony behavior. Adopting a child is not a legal concept recognized in Islamic law, which, while giving great importance to orphans and children’s rights, has introduced the legal institution of the Kafala. This institution can be defined as a commitment by the kafil to ensure maintenance, education and protection of a minor makfoul until his legal majority, in the same way as would a father to his son, but without creating any family relationship.
