Šajā darbā aprakstītas ēdināšanas problēmas ar kādām saskaras vecāki, kuri ēdina zīdaini ar iedzimtām patoloģijām sejas-žokļu rajonā. Darbs sastāv no divām daļām. Teorētiskajā daļā ir analizēta literatūra par zīdaiņu ar iedzimtām patoloģijām sejas-žokļu rajonā ēdināšanas īpatnībām. Darbs analizēts saistībā ar Kari Martinsenas un Betijas Ņūmenas māszinību teorijām. Praktiskajā daļā ir aprakstīta pētījuma gaita un analizēti iegūtie rezultāti. Pētījumam izvēlēta kvalitatīva pētniecības metode un izveidots pētniecības instruments - intervija. Par respondentiem atlasīti vecāki, kuri ēdina zīdaini vecumā no 2-24 mēnešiem. Moisture damage can influence the subjective assessment of indoor air quality (subjective IAQ) in various ways. We studied whether the frequency of symptoms reported across students at school level mediates the relationship between observed mold and dampness in a school building and students' subjective IAQ. Socio-emotional Problems Experienced by Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students in Ethiopia

This study compares the socio-emotional problems experienced by deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) students with those of hearing students in Ethiopia. The research involved a sample of 103 grade 4 students attending a special school for the deaf, a special class for the deaf and a regular school. Socio-emotional problems were measured using Goodman's self-report measure, the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire for children and adolescents. Participants were selected from seven towns in Ethiopia. The optimization of Multidimensional Knapsacks with Family-Split Penalties has been introduced in the literature as a variant of the more classical Multidimensional Knapsack and Multi-Knapsack problems. This problem deals with a set of items partitioned in families, and when a single item is picked to maximize the utility, then all items in its family must be picked. Items from the same family can be assigned to different knapsacks, and in this situation split penalties are paid. This problem arises in real applications in various fields. Non-standard Problems in an Ordinary Differential Equations Course

International audience; We report first results from a teaching intervention in an ordinary differential equations (ODEs) course for engineering students. Our aim is to challenge traditional approaches to teaching of Existence and Uniqueness Theorems (EUTs) through the design of problems that students cannot solve by applying well-rehearsed techniques or familiar methods. We analyse how the use of nonstandard problems contributes to the development of students' conceptual understanding of EUTs and ODEs.

Pētījumā tika aprakstīti disfunkcionālas ģimenes faktori un bērnu uzvedības problēmas. Mērķis bija noskaidrot vai pastāv saistība starp bērna uzvedības traucējumiem un disfunkcionālas ģimenes faktoriem. Pētījuma izlase: 36 bērni un 36 mātes. Tika izmantota bērnu un vecāku forma “Bērna uzvedības novērtēšanas aptaujai” (Achenbach, Rescola, 2001), tika adaptēta un izmantota “Ģimenes novērtēšanas aptauja” (Epstein, Baldwin, Bishop, 2005). Abstract During alkaline pulping of wood, substantial amounts of carbohydrates-derived aliphatic carboxylic acids (formic and acetic acids together with various hydroxy acids) are formed and dissolved into the cooking liquor (“black liquor”). These acids with low heating values are considered to be potential feedstocks for the chemical industry but, due to many factors, their straightforward recovery as free acids from black liquor (pH 13–14) is difficult.
