As energy resources become scarce and pollution increases, fundamental and often irreversible changes are affecting our global ecosystem, and these changes are already having an influence on countries’ potential for economic growth and development. In this article we examine the principal environmental problems worldwide and how such problems are affected by inequality between countries. In Spain’s case, the basic problems are greenhouse gas emissions, problems relating to water management and issues concerning territory and biodiversity. We also call for the application of economic funding mechanisms to implement environmental policies.
Helping lecturers address and formulate teaching challenges: an exploratory study

International audience; In this paper we present an exploratory study on the kind of questions or difficulties lecturers point out at the beginning of an educational course – to be addressed in it. These questions happen to be very general and are poorly connected to the knowledge to be taught. We suggest a twofold interpretation of this phenomenon. On the one hand, and in the line of the didactic transposition theory, teachers do not allow themselves to raise questions about the knowledge that is supposed to be their main field of expertise. W artykule ukazane zostały zarówno problemy życiowe osób z niepełnosprawnością i ich rodzin, jak też szczegółowo omówione kompetencje pracownika socjalnego w zakresie pomocy i wsparcia w przezwyciężaniu tych problemów i podwyższaniu poziomu jakości życia osób niepełnosprawnych.

School bullying is associated with externalizing and internalizing problems, but little is known about whether reading difficulties also play a part. We asked how, in Grades 1 and 2, word reading skills and externalizing/internalizing problems predict the degree to which students are involved in bullying in Grade 3. Using a sample of 480 Finnish children (M age = 7 years 2 months at the beginning of the study), developmental profiles were identified using mixture modeling based on reading skills, as well as externalizing and internalizing problems. The purpose is to draw attention to the problems, to help to develop the procedures followed when translating the tests, and to provide suggestions for further research. Aineistona käytettiin lehtitalojen käyttöön tarkoitetun jakeluohjelmiston suomenkielistä käyttöopasta, siitä itse tehtyjä käännöksiä englanniksi, sekä kääntämisen ohella kirjoitettua käännöspäiväkirjaa. Województwo opolskie jako region migracyjny od wielu lat zmaga się z niekorzystnymi skutkami zagranicznych wyjazdów zarobkowych. Dotyczy to zarówno zachowań migracyjnych ludności autochtonicznej, jak i nowych wyjazdów za granicę obserwowanych w województwie po akcesji do UE w 2004 r.
