An FPGA-Based Adaptive Fuzzy Coprocessor

The architecture of a general purpose fuzzy logic coprocessor and its implementation on an FPGA based System on Chip is described. Thanks to its ability to support a fast dynamic reconfiguration of all its parameters, it is suitable for implementing adaptive fuzzy logic algorithms, or for the execution of different fuzzy algorithms in a time sharing fashion. The high throughput obtained using a pipelined structure and the efficient data organization allows significant increase of the computational capabilities strongly desired in applications with hard real-time constraints.

Topicality matters: Position-specific demands on Chinese discourse processing

We report an event-related potential study designed to explore the nature of context-induced topicality in Chinese discourse processing. Topic is what an utterance is about and represents the most prominent discourse element, which occurs sentence-initially in Chinese. We tested question-answer pairs consisting of topic and non-topic questions followed by different continuations (Topic-Continuity, Topic-Shift, Novel-Topic). ERPs were measured at distinct sentential positions and revealed that sentence-initially information processing is guided by topicality, which affects N400 and Late Positivity effects alike. L’art. 2, commi 7-10, l. 27 settembre 2021, n. 134 ha introdotto disposizioni immediatamente precettive miranti a incentivare la compiuta identificazione dell’indagato e dell’imputato apolide, di cui non si conosce la cittadinanza, nonché del cittadino non appartenente all’Unione europea. Le norme incidono sulla disciplina del casellario giudiziale interno ed europeo e con esso del sistema c.d. ECRIS-TCN, come imposto dal Regolamento UE 2019/816 del 17 aprile 2019, fondato sulla raccolta all’interno dei singoli Paesi dell’Unione europea del Codice unico identificativo.

Optical security and encryption with totally incoherent light

We present a method for securing and encrypting information optically by use of totally incoherent illumination. Encryption is performed with a multichannel optical processor working under natural (both temporal and spatially incoherent) light. In this way, the information that is to be secured can be codified by use of color signals and self-luminous displays. The encryption key is a phase-only mask, providing high security from counterfeiting. Output encrypted information is recorded as an intensity image that can be easily stored and transmitted optically or electrically. Decryption or authentication can also be performed optically or digitally. Experimental results are presented.
