2008

To ensure successful, more sustainable weed management practices, it is crucial to take account of farmer’s decision-making processes. Agronomists revealed that interviewed farmers had complex and various weeding programmes, and that, when designing these programmes, they integrated different time scales: the current year, the rotation, and the long term. They gave some light, too, on the decision-making processes and how it changes over time. Sociologists analyzed the way wine-growers bring about change from the cognitive angle and its bearing on interactive dialogue between the wine-growers themselves as well as with technical advisors

2012

This work is divided into two parts: (i) the theoretical study of the problem of adaptive sampling in Markov Random Fields (MRF) and (ii) the modeling of the problem of weed sampling in a crop field and the design of adaptive sampling strategies for this problem. For the first point, we first modeled the problem of finding an optimal sampling strategy as a finite horizon Markov Decision Process (MDP). Then, we proposed a generic algorithm for computing an approximate solution to any finite horizon MDP with known model. This algorithm, called Least-Squared Dynamic Programming (LSDP), combines the concepts of dynamic programming and reinforcement learning. It was then adapted to compute adapt…

Response of soil bacterial communities to the incorporation of crop residues : influence of agricultural practices and link with the soil biological …

2010

The effect of the location of wheat residues (soil surface vs. incorporated in soil) on their decomposition and on soil bacterial communities was investigated by the means of a field experiment. Bacterial-Automated Ribosomal Intergenic Spacer Analysis (B-ARISA) of DNA extracts from residues, detritusphere (soil adjacent to residues), and bulk soil evidenced that residues constitute the zone of maximal changes in bacterial composition. However, the location of the residues influenced greatly their decomposition and the dynamics of the colonizing bacterial communities. Sequencing of 16S rRNA gene in DNA extracts from the residues at the early, middle, and late stages of degradation confirmed …

La scène, le processus, le fait collectif. Travailler avec Les Scènes indésirables ?

2012
