"Ammatilliseen selvyyteen" : sosiaalityön ammatillistumiskeskustelu Sosiaalityö-lehdissä 1958-1963

Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan sosiaalityön ammatillisuuden käsitteellistämistä 1950–60-lukujen taitteessa ammattilehtien muodostaman aineiston avulla. Keskeisenä kysymyksenä on, miten sosiaalityön ammatillisuutta aineistossa käsitellään, käsitteellistetään ja tuotetaan. Lisäksi tutkitaan sitä, voiko näistä ammatillisuuden käsitteellistyksistä hahmottaa sukupuolen ja ammatillisuuden välistä suhdetta. Teoreettis-metodologisena viitekehyksenäni tutkimuksessa on ontologinen konstruktionismi, ja Sosiaalityö-lehtien kirjoituksien nähdään osaltaan olleen luomassa kuvaa sosiaalityön ammatillisuudesta. An agency-promoting learning arena for developing shared work practices

Despite the emerging recognition of the pivotal role played by professional agency within work contexts, little is known about how agency is promoted and enacted in organised work-related learning settings. This chapter focuses on the work conference as an orchestrated agency-promoting learning arena. We understand professional agency as a necessary precondition of work-related learning, and we emphasise the potential of work conferences to activate and promote such agency. Journalists’ Associations as Political Instruments in Central and Eastern Europe

This editorial provides the overall context for the five cases—three national and two international—covered in this thematic issue. While the cases are from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), they highlight fundamental questions of journalism everywhere, including contradictions between freedom and control, professionalism and politics, individual and collective. The associations of journalists serve as very useful platforms to study these questions, especially at historical turning points when the whole political system changed, as happened twice in CEE after World War II.

Tutkimus käsittelee opettajan ammatillisuutta ja ammattitaitoa. Aihetta lähestytään aloittelevien luokanopettajien käsitysten ja kokemusten kautta. Tässä tutkimuksessa vallitsevan lähestymistavan mukaan ammatillisuus on opettajan jokapäiväiseen työhön liittyvää ammattitaitoa, sekä opettajan oma ymmärrys työnkuvasta, työn tavoitteista, edellytyksistä ja työssä onnistumisesta. Tutkimuksen aineisto kerättiin teemahaastatteluilla syksyllä 2012. Professional expertise, integrative thinking, wisdom, and phronēsis

This chapter examines adult thinking from the perspective of professional expertise and phronēsis, that is, practical wisdom. It first describes differences between experts and novices, and presents three conceptualisations of the development of expertise. This is followed by an analysis of the form of adult thinking referred to as integrative thinking, and phronēsis. The relationship of these two with expertise is examined. The analysis shows that professional expertise requires holistic thinking involving the ability to integrate or conciliate various and even conflicting perspectives in order to find new solutions to problems. Tässä tutkimuksessa tarkoituksena oli tutkia hyvää johtajuutta ammatillisen toimijuuden näkökulmasta kahdessa ohjelmistokehittämisen organisaatiossa. Tarkoituksena oli kuvata sitä, millaista hyvä johtajuus on ja miten se ilmenee työntekijöiden näkemyksissä. Tutkimuksen aihe koettiin tärkeäksi, koska johtajuutta ja ammatillista toimijuutta ei ole vielä laajalti tutkittu yhdessä ja toisiinsa linkittyneinä ilmiöinä. Lisäksi tässä tutkimuksessa yhdistettiin monia eri johtajuuden teorioita, millä pyrittiin luomaan laajempi ja kokonaisvaltaisempi ymmärrys johtajuudesta sekä uudistamaan ilmiöstä jo tiedettyä.
