Using Talking Books to Support Early Reading Development

This chapter explores the question of how interactive multimedia talking books can promote young children’s literacy development. Whilst commercially available talking books can motivate young children to read, there is little evidence that they are linked to the development of skills known to promote reading itself. The ‘Bangers and Mash’ talking books (Chera, 2000), were designed to address this issue, and we review studies that evaluated their effectiveness as classroom resources that could promote reading-related skills and abilities. International audience; In the western Algerian steppe, the public authorities have carried out actions aimed at rural development (agricultural development programs) and combating desertification (grazing reserves) to counter the significant and rapid loss of vegetation cover of pastures by overgrazing, and the consequent impacts on local livelihoods. Darbā apkopoti un analizēti poētiskie teksti (vairāk nekā 25), kas veidojuši Tristana un Izoldes sižeta konceptuāli vienoto krievisko invariantu. Īpaša uzmanība pievērsta divām galvenajām problēmām: pieprasījumam pēc šī sižeta 19.gadsimta beigas un 20.gadsimta sakuma krievu kultūrā un leģendas avotu, svarīgu krievu sabiedrībai, noskaidrošanai. Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 22 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 20 attēlus, 1 tabulu un 50 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Pētījuma mērķis bija datorizētās redzes skrīninga iekārtas EYEDOO redzes rakstura testa aprobācija. Darba uzdevumi bija: novērtēt 50 pētījuma dalībnieku redzes raksturu, izmantojot datorizēto testu, novērtēt redzes raksturu bērniem, izmantojot TNO testu, un salīdzināt rezultātus. Saskaņā ar pētījuma rezultātiem bija grūtības atšķirt monokulāru alternējošu redzi no monokulāras redzes vai vienlaicīgas redzes, bet var atlasīt bērnus ar binokulāro redzi, kas ir norma, un bez tā. Reflecting through the designing: a brief analysis of the teacher’s planning process

The aim of this work is to study the conditions in which teachers plan and execute educational actions in the classroom and to find out which difficulties they encountered during the development of the planned teaching action. The “concrete operations” that 15 teachers in the Palermo area had accomplished, were highlighted before, during and after every structured activity to promote the pupils’ oral expression. Specifically, the research, which is collocated in the case study, had the function of verifying forty descriptors. The considerations contained in this article focus on the significance of regional education in preschool and school education. Regional education is a relatively young pedagogical conception, which appeared in the literaturę at the beginning of the 1990s. It is inseparably connected with that of regionalism defined as ”a return to one’s own roots”. The assumptions behind regional education and its content are formulated on the basis of the core curriculum of comprehensive education at indrndual stages of teaching. It makes a vital element in the program of teaching native language, history, geography and other school subjects.
