Fetal growth restriction (FGR) or intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) are the terms used for a fetus which has not attained its full growth potential for gestational age. FGR is a multifactorial syndrome responsible for increased fetal and neonatal morbidity and mortality as well as long term adverse outcomes involving auxological, metabolic, organic and functional domains. Clinicians distinguish early and late onset FGR, in relation to specific fetal anthropometric parameters related to the possible primary etiology and to different patterns of placental and maternal cardiovascular pathologies. Postnatal programming cardiometabolic risk : effects of moderate caloric restriction in adulthood

Postnatal overfeeding (PNOF) in rodents induces early programming of cardio-metabolic risk. Our aim was to determine if a moderate diet restriction could restore cardio-metabolic alterations induced by PNOF.Immediately after birth, litters of C57BL/6 mice were either maintained at 9 (normal litter, NL), or reduced to 3 (small litter, SL) to induce PNOF. At weaning, all mice received a standard diet ad libitum (AL). At 6 month of age, half of the NL and SL mice were assigned to a moderate 20% calorie restriction (CR: NLCR, SLCR) for one month, while the other mice continued to eat AL (AL: NLAL, SLAL). Any study of the Palatine Chapel in Palermo should take into account the two contexts of Spanish Caesaropapism in Sicily, namely a Church established by Habsburg rulers with the monarch at its head, and international relationships between the Spanish Monarchy, France, and the Holy See. This chapel, situated right at the heart of the Royal Palace – seat of both the Viceroy and the tribunals of the Kingdom – was actually a sort of miniature cathedral for the Spanish king-pope (as ecclesiastical patron and papal legate), and the fact that it was dedicated to Saint Peter clearly evoked the papal Basilica of the same name in Rome. A Perturbation Approach to Continuous-Time Portfolio Selection Under Stochastic Investment Opportunities

This paper studies portfolio selection in continuous-time models with stochastic investment opportunities. We consider asset allocation problems where preferences are specified as power utility derived from terminal wealth as well as consumption-savings problems with recursive utility Epstein-Zin preferences. The paper approximates the associated dynamic programming problem by perturbing the coefficients of the stochastic dynamics. We represent the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation as a series of partial differential equations that can be solved iteratively in closed-form through computer algebra software, at any desired accuracy.

Austinat, Diekert, Hertrampf, and Petersen [2] proved that every language L that is (m,n)-recognizable by a deterministic frequency automaton such that m > n/2 can be recognized by a deterministic finite automaton as well. Graph grammars provide a very convenient specification tool for distributed systems of processes. This paper addresses the problem how properties of such specifications can be proven. It shows a connection between algebraic graph rewrite rules and temporal (trace) logic via the graph expressions of [2]. Statements concerning the global behavior can be checked by local reasoning.
