Effect of progressive collapse of central column on the push-down response of two-span beam-column substructures

Abstract In this paper, a simplified model is proposed for hand calculation of the push-down curve of reinforced two-span beam-column substructures with the mid-span column subjected to a vertical load inducing progressive collapse response. The model takes into account the flexural, arch and catenary strength mechanisms and the axial stiffness of RC compressed columns. The model was validated against experimental data available in the literature. The expressions derived, in a closed form, were useful for hand calculation of push-down responses and robustness evaluation of RC framed structures. Abstract Purpose Updated 5 year results are presented from the multicenter phase II trial of 90Yttrium-Ibritumomab-Tiuxetan (90YIT) as first line stand-alone therapy for patients with follicular lymphoma (FL). Patients and Methods 59 patients with CD20-positive FL grade 1 to 3a in stages II with bulky disease (n=12), III (n= 26), or IV (n=21), and in need for therapy, were enrolled between 05/2007 and 06/2010. Progressive mesh is a data structure that encodes a continuous spectrum of mesh approximations. Sliding window progressive meshes (SWPM) minimize data transfers between CPU and GPU by storing mesh data in static on-GPU memory buffers [For01]. The main disadvantages of the original SWPM algorithm are poor vertex cache usage efficiency, and big resulting datasets. Connectivity-based algorithm [KT04] achieves a good vertex cache coherence but it does not address the problem of high memory utilization. AbstractNiemann-Pick type C (NPC) is a rare lysosomal storage disorder with ocular motor involvement. In a multicontinental, cross-sectional study we characterized ocular motor function in 72 genetically proven patients from twelve countries by means of video-oculography. Interlinking with disease severity, we also searched for ocular motor biomarkers.
