Projekts “Skola 2030” pakāpeniski ievieš pārmaiņas Latvijas izglītības sistēmā, kompetenču izglītībai esot vienai no šīm izmaiņām. No skolotājiem tiek gaidīts, ka viņi iemācīs skolēniem astoņas mūžizglītības galvenās pamatprasmes, tomēr dažas no tām, piemēram, pašiniciatīva un uzņēmējdarbība, ir grūtāk attīstāmas.
