Motivation and personality traits for choosing religious tourism. A research on the case of Medjugorje
2013
Religion has long been a primary motivation for journeys and it is considered the oldest non-economic reason for travelling. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the reasons tourists choose to travel to sacred sites, with the specific aim of discovering relationships between personality traits and motivations for religious travel. Participating in the research were 679 Italian travellers to Medjugorje sanctuary, who completed the travel motivation scale and big five questionnaire. The results show that motivation is focused prevalently on the need for discovery in men and socialisation in women. Multiple regression analyses demonstrated that personality traits are predictive of motiv…

Holden Lori with Hass Crystal: The open-hearted way to open adoption. Helping your child growing up whole
2015
An open adoption is a way of keeping in contact with the biological roots, maybe more suitable for children adopted in their early infancy than later. In fact, children in older adoption age, coming from a pre-adoptive adverse environment (abuse, neglect, violence, poverty, etc.), may invoke oblio right ,tore-create themselves in the new family.
School climate as predictor of teachers’ capacity to meet the educational needs of adopted children in Italy
2020
The current study examines the association between different components of school climate (teacher–principal and teacher–parent relationships, parents’ involvement in school activities, connection between school and the local services) and teachers’ competences and knowledge regarding the adoption experience. Participants were 573 teachers (95.7% women; mean age = 47.06, SD = 8.66, ranging between 25 and 65) residing in three Italian regions characterised by rates of international adoptions that are higher than the national average. The association between school climate and teachers’ knowledge and competences on adoption was evaluated via independent multiple logistic regression analyses. …
Comportamento aggressivo. Pregiudizi e discriminazione a scuola,
2020
The Fairness Principle, Reward, and Altruistic Behavior
2011
The goal of this study was to investigate the relationship between reward and altruism. It was hypothesized that the altruistic behavior of someone who has been asked for help will occur only after the person asking for help has been evaluated. As a result, if the situation of a person asking for help is perceived as less fortunate, help will be given even if no proportional award is received in return, according to a principle based on need that makes people feel they should help the needy. Results show that when the participants received an unfair award, they tended to offer much bigger donations only in the condition in which the other was perceived as less fortunate.

2009
Analyzing the responses given by 801 Italian participants (F = 635; mean age = 24.78 years), we performed a confirmatory factor analysis of an Italian version of Funke’s RWA3D scale, aimed at assessing right-wing authoritarianism as a three-dimensional construct defined by authoritarian submission, authoritarian aggression, and conventionalism. The model showing the best fit was a three-correlated-factors model, controlling the semantic direction of the items as correlated uniquenesses. Such model was invariant between genders. However, the very strong correlations among the three substantive factors warned against mechanically considering the scale as three-dimensional.
