El objetivo del trabajo es identificar los mecanismos de afrontamiento que utilizan los niños y niñas considerados 'más prosociales'. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 465 niños y niñas de entre 10 y 12 años considerados en vulnerabilidad social en Argentina y en España. La población evaluada en la muestra española (n= 196) está escolarizada en Centros Públicos de zonas declaradas de Acción Preferente por el Gobierno Valenciano en el año 1993. In this study, we tested the validity of the Italian version of the Prejudice Against Asylum Seekers Scale (PAAS), which measures classic and modern prejudice toward asylum seekers. A sample of 740 participants (227 males and 513 females, aged 18-67) completed the scale. The results were consistent with the original 2-factor model providing an acceptable fit for the data. This study, however, suggests taking out two items from the scale. The two correlated factors showed significant associations with right-wing authoritarianism, social dominance orientation, and national identification. In the past 30 years, the camino to Santiago de Compostela has been recreated as an eclectic pilgrimage, open to both religious and atheist travelers. Following previous work on motivational orientations and religion, we conducted a study examining atheist versus religious pilgrims' motivations to walk the Santiago way. We assessed pilgrims (N = 360) at various parts of the northern Spanish camino using a questionnaire that measured motivations to go on pilgrimage.
