Major life changes may cause an autobiographical rupture and a need to work on one’s narrative identity. This article introduces a new qualitative interview methodology originally developed to facilitate 10 prostate cancer patients and five spouses in the (re)creation of their life narratives in the context of a series of interventive interviews conducted over a timespan of several months. In “The Clip Approach” the interviewees’ words, phrases, and metaphors are reflected back in a physical form (“the Clips”) as visual artifacts that allow the interviewees to re-enter and re-consider their experience and life and re-construct their narratives concerning them. Partners of nulliparous women with severe fear of childbirth: A longitudinal study of psychological well-being.

Background Little is known about the psychological status of partners of women with severe fear of childbirth (FOC). In this longitudinal study from Helsinki University Central Hospital, we investigated FOC, depression, and posttraumatic stress in the partners of women with severe FOC, and possible effects of group psychoeducation and mode of birth.Methods: During pregnancy, 250 partners of nulliparous women with severe FOC participated, 93 in the intervention group and 157 in the control group. 1930-luvun taitteessa puhjennut maailmanlaajuinen lama koetteli erityisen ankarasti Yhdysvaltoja ja leimasi maan kehitystä toisen maailmansodan puhkeamiseen asti. Franklin Roosevelt toimi maan presidenttinä vuosina 1933–1945 ja pyrki parantamaan ihmisten elinoloja sosiaalipoliittisella New Deal - ohjelmallaan.
