Opportunity Mars Rover mission: Overview and selected results from Purgatory ripple to traverses to Endeavour crater

Opportunity has been traversing the Meridiani plains since 25 January 2004 (sol 1), acquiring numerous observations of the atmosphere, soils, and rocks. This paper provides an overview of key discoveries between sols 511 and 2300, complementing earlier papers covering results from the initial phases of the mission. Key new results include (1) atmospheric argon measurements that demonstrate the importance of atmospheric transport to and from the winter carbon dioxide polar ice caps; (2) observations showing that aeolian ripples covering the plains were generated by easterly winds during an epoch with enhanced Hadley cell circulation; (3) the discovery and characterization of cobbles and boul…

El punt central es la projeccio publica de les composicions poetiques, tot apropant-nos a la literatura des d’un punt de vista cultural per presentar certs aspectes d’un tema clau en l’art barroc: el final de la vida. Celem artykułu jest próba wskazania, na podstawie implikacji płynących z rozwijanej w naukach społecznych badawczej perspektywy biograficznej, zbieżności w teologicznym opisie eschatologicznej rzeczywistości pośmiertnego oczyszczenia i sądu Bożego po stronie katolickiej i protestanckiej. Wspomniana perspektywa badawcza eksponuje m.in. trwałość każdej indywidualnej biografii, znaczenie samopoznania i niezbywalną odpowiedzialność za dojrzewanie do pełni własnej tożsamości. Christian eschatology is a relatively neglected area within the ecumenical debate. This may indicate that the issues in this area do not have such a destructive impact on the interconfessional relations as the questions of soteriology and ecclesiology. At the same time it is known that the issue of indulgences for the dead was the cause of the sixteenth-century dispute within the Church over the doctrine of justification. The consensus on the aforementioned doctrine, reached in 1999, put an end to this chapter.
