L'identité de Fay en théorie des systèmes intégrables

2011

Fay's identity on Riemann surfaces is a powerful tool in the context of algebro-geometric solutions to integrable equations. This relation generalizes a well-known identity for the cross-ratio function in the complex plane. It allows to establish relations between theta functions and their derivatives. This offers a complementary approach to algebro-geometric solutions of integrable equations with certain advantages with respect to the use of Baker-Akhiezer functions. It has been successfully applied by Mumford et al. to the Korteweg-de Vries, Kadomtsev-Petviashvili and sine-Gordon equations. Following this approach, we construct algebro-geometric solutions to the Camassa-Holm and Dym type …

FASP médicale et substrat professionnel : le miroir éclaté

2010

Abstract The study of medical thrillers is a budding field of research within the genre of professionally-based fiction. These novels usually reflect the practices, the discourse, and the socio-cultural ways of the medical community. However, on reading the more recent novels, one has the feeling that the representation of professional reality is gradually giving way to the lure of the closely related thriller genre. In the same way, the image reflected is that of a more diversified professional reality, as the authors now draw their inspiration from professionally-based material borrowed from forensic and legal thrillers. This osmosis-induced evolution highlights the hybrid nature of the g…

The representation of work in the French narration since the Thirty Glorious Years

2017

There has been a resurgence of interest in the theme of work, since the end of the Thirty Glorious Years. Initially centered on a few emblematic works, there has emerged in subsequent years, multifaceted forms of expression that do not lend themselves easily to unifying categorisation. However, a specific literariness has emerged on this theme that reflects an originality that is unique within the realm of literary production. Whilst all writers hesitate about the best means to narrate human activities, those who write about work face particular difficulties in defining their position and status. The notion of fiction itself is challenged as it shifts between the domain of the real and the …

Bertrand Lavier : a connection between art and reality

2014

This study aims to establish how French artist Bertrand Lavier (1949) defines and expresses reality in his work. In addition, we wanted to provide a historical and critical answer to a key problematic of contemporary art's history, the link between art and life. First, we dealt with several Lavier's series, from the late 1960s till nowadays, from which emerge recurring topics : representation ontology, the problem of paintings and sculptures definition, which the artist employs himself to rebuilt. Furthermore, he also makes a methodical critic of language as a reliable component of reality, pointing its limits and flaws, acting his divorce with then dominant conceptual art, converting himse…

Le filtre de Kalman étendu à grand-gain adaptatif et ses applications

2010

The work concerns the “observability problem”—the reconstruction of a dynamic process’s full state from a partially measured state— for nonlinear dynamic systems. The Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is a widely-used observer for such nonlinear systems. However it suffers from a lack of theoretical justifications and displays poor performance when the estimated state is far from the real state, e.g. due to large perturbations, a poor initial state estimate, etc. . . We propose a solution to these problems, the Adaptive High-Gain (EKF). Observability theory reveals the existence of special representations characterizing nonlinear systems having the observability property. Such representations ar…

Development of methods for the detection and quantification of spoilage microorganisms in wine : study of growing factors

2016

New practices used to elaborate wine lead to an increase of wine spoilage due to microorganisms. That is why, new technics have to be developed to quantify these microorganisms accurately, quickly and with low costs. The main wine spoilages are due to acetic acid bacteria (AAB) (A. aceti, A. pasteurianus, G. oxydans and Ga. liquefaciens) and Brettanomyces bruxellensis development. AAB transforms ethanol to acetic acid while B. bruxellensis transforms hydroxycinnamic acids to ethyl phenols (EP) (unpleasant odor molecules). In order to detect these wine spoilage microrganisms, flow cytometry coupled to fluorescent in situ hybridization has been assessed. No reproducible results have been deve…

Combining hectometric and decametric satellite observations to provide near real time decametric FAPAR product

2017

Abstract A wide range of ecological, agricultural, hydrological and meteorological applications at local to regional scales requires decametric biophysical data. However, before the launch of SENTINEL-2A, only few decametric products are produced and most of them remain limited by the small number of available observations, mostly due to a moderate revisit frequency combined with cloud occurrence. Conversely, kilometric and hectometric biophysical products are now widely available with almost complete and continuous coverage, but the associated spatial resolution limits the application over heterogeneous landscapes. The objective of this study is to combine unfrequent decametric spatial res…

Volumes transverses aux feuilletages d'efinissables dans des structures o-minimales

2003

Let Fλ be a family of codimension p foliations defined on a family Mλ of manifolds and let Xλ be a family of compact subsets of Mλ. Suppose that Fλ, Mλ and Xλ are definable in an o-minimal structure and that all leaves of Fλ are closed. Given a definable family Ωλ of differential p-forms satisfaying iZ Ωλ = 0 forany vector field Z tangent to Fλ, we prove that there exists a constant A > 0 such that the integral of on any transversal of Fλ intersecting each leaf in at most one point is bounded by A. We apply this result to prove that p-volumes of transverse sections of Fλ are uniformly bounded.

Apports des mesures de consentement à payer dans l’étude de l’acceptabilité de produits alimentaires bénéficiant d’informations nutritionnelles

2010

Used in a laboratory or survey setting, the declarative methods are very widely used to estimate the consumers preferences. The experimental economic incentive methods allows to make up for hypothetical bias which can affect purely declarative methods. This work sets out several experiments based on methodological comparisons allowing to test the inter-methods validity and to begin external measure validity question. In line with literature previous works, this work allows to highlight assets and limits of the non-hypothetical measures (BDM mechanism and real choice experiment), first one relative to another, second relative to hedonic measures. Two major results were obtained. First, the B…
