Transcriptome analysis of the Populus trichocarpa–Rhizophagus irregularis Mycorrhizal Symbiosis: Regulation of Plant and Fungal Transportomes under N…
2017
Nutrient transfer is a key feature of the arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) symbiosis. Valuable mineral nutrients are transferred from the AM fungus to the plant, increasing its fitness and productivity, and, in exchange, the AM fungus receives carbohydrates as an energy source from the plant. Here, we analyzed the transcriptome of the Populus trichocarpa-Rhizophagus irregularis symbiosis using RNA-sequencing of non-mycorrhizal or mycorrhizal fine roots, with a focus on the effect of nitrogen (N) starvation. In R. irregularis, we identified 1,015 differentially expressed genes, whereby N starvation led to a general induction of gene expression. Genes of the functional classes of cell growth, memb…
Evaluation of Nonpathogenic Fusarium oxysporum and Pseudomonas fluorescens for Panama Disease Control
2011
Période 2000-2012. http://prodinra.inra.fr/record/256699; Nonpathogenic Fusarium oxysporum endophytes from healthy banana roots were evaluated for their ability to reduce Fusarium wilt of banana (Panama disease). Isolates were identified morphologically and by using species-specific primers. Pathogenicity was confirmed by inoculating banana plantlets in the greenhouse. Nonpathogenic F. oxysporum isolates were grouped into 14 haplotype groups by polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis of the intergenic sp…
Symbiosis-related plant genes modulate molecular responses in an arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus during early root interactions.
2009
To gain further insight into the role of the plant genome in arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) establishment, we investigated whether symbiosis-related plant genes affect fungal gene expression in germinating spores and at the appressoria stage of root interactions. Glomus intraradices genes were identified in expressed sequence tag libraries of mycorrhizal Medicago truncatula roots by in silico expression analyses. Transcripts of a subset of genes, with predicted functions in transcription, protein synthesis, primary or secondary metabolism, or of unknown function, were monitored in spores and germinating spores and during interactions with roots of wild-type or mycorrhiza-defective (Myc–) mutan…
CEOs entrenchment and shareholders' wealth
1998
In the agency relation between the shareholders and the CEO, everybody try toreinforce his or her position. For the CEO, it means the pursuit of a betterentrenchment, which allows him to reduce the risk of being dismissed. Theentrenchment model develops the importance for the CEO to get internal or externalconnections and to make efforts in order to attain a higher performance. From a sampleof 1747 annual observations concerning 258 CEOs of public firms for the 1966-1990period, empirical measures allow us to estimate the importance of internal networksand past performance by establishing a measure of CEO entrenchment. Furthermore,we observed, for the shareholders, the existence of an optimu…
Campagnes, migrations internationales et nouvel ordre social ethnicisé. La zone viticole Utiel-Requena (Espagne)
2021
Utiel-Requena is a traditional wine-growing area in the province of Valencia (Spain), which has un…

2013
This paper discusses the ornamental patterns of metal bracelets worn on the arms and legs of people during the European Bronze Age. A method has been specially created to study geometric patterns. Some sets of metal bands (bracelets métalliques) of Bronze Age reach a high level of complexity due to the use of combined patterns in an overall structure. This paper deals with an experimental criterion concerning this phenomenon. The methodology, developed for the purpose i.e. the experimental criterion developed for the purpose of this study, was to extract geometric patterns from the original media. The principle is to release the geometrical compositions of the deformations induced by the mo…
1991
This paper compares three approaches of the unit root testing strategy issue : i.e. the DICKEY, BELL and MILLER (1986) approach, elaborated for prevision purposes, which advocates the estimation of a model without trend at the outset, in opposition to the PERRON (1988) and HENIN and JOBERT (1990) testing strategies. The latter is undoubtedly operational in empirical works but it doesn’t encompass joint tests explicitly. We then suggest an unifiedgeneral framework embracing the last two appoaches and giving a practical scheme which is as complete and operational as possible. The behaviour of these strategies is assesed in an empirical study of the seasonaly adjusted real GDP in France and an…
2011
During the recent years, african countries in the CFA zone have experienced many economic changes on the one hand through the measures initiated by bilateral and multilateral donors and on the other hand through the economic and monetary integration policies. Thus, relying on the assumption that because of these interventions, the economic systems incorporate various phenomena such as structural change and economic interdependencies, we studied their major implications on growth, convergence and growth predictability. Emphasis is first placed on the major features of integration policies in a monetary union, while stressing the possible implications of such policies on the economic dynamics…
