Optimisation of direct digital frequency synthesisers based on CORDIC

Methods to simplify digital frequency synthesizers based on the co-ordinate rotation digital computer (CORDIC) algorithm are presented. Application of these methods leads to performance enhancement, compared with the topologies previously proposed in the literature. For a given output precision, hardware resources are reduced and spur-free dynamic range is increased.

Abstract Previous studies demonstrated that for open channel flows the power velocity profile can be integrated to obtain the flow resistance law. In this paper the relationship between Γ coefficient of the power velocity distribution, the channel slope and Froude number (Eq. (9) ) is firstly presented. Then the measurements carried out in a laboratory flume covered by hemispheric elements for two different hydraulic conditions (partially inundated and inundated) are used to calibrate this relationship. Abstract The mixed-metal ferromagnet {[P(Ph) 4 ][MnCr(ox) 3 ]} n , where Ph is phenyl and ox is oxalate, has been prepared and a two-dimensional network structure, extended by Mn(II)-ox-Cr(III) bridges, has been determined from single crystal X-ray data. Crystal data: space group R 3 c , a = b =18.783(3), c =57.283(24) A, α=β=90, γ=120°, Z =24 (C 30 H 20 O 12 PCrMn). The magnetic susceptibility data obey the Curie-Weiss law in the temperature range 260–20 K with a positive Weiss constant of 10.5 K. AbstractThe Bentley–Ottmann sweep-line method can compute the arrangement of planar curves, provided a number of geometric primitives operating on the curves are available. We discuss the reduction of the primitives to the analysis of curves and curve pairs, and describe efficient realizations of these analyses for planar algebraic curves of degree three or less. We obtain a complete, exact, and efficient algorithm for computing arrangements of cubic curves. The design of numerical boundary conditions in high order schemes is a challenging problem that has been tackled in different ways depending on the nature of the problem and the scheme used to solve it numerically. In this paper we propose a technique to extrapolate the information from the computational domain to ghost cells for schemes with structured Cartesian Meshes on complex domains. AbstractWe present a recursive generating algorithm for unrestricted permutations which is based on both the decomposition of a permutation as a product of transpositions and that as a union of disjoint cycles. It generates permutations at each recursive step and slight modifications of it produce generating algorithms for Bell permutations and involutions. Unified Metrical Common Fixed Point Theorems in 2-Metric Spaces via an Implicit Relation

We prove some common fixed point theorems for two pairs of weakly compatible mappings in 2-metric spaces via an implicit relation. As an application to our main result, we derive Bryant's type generalized fixed point theorem for four finite families of self-mappings which can be utilized to derive common fixed point theorems involving any finite number of mappings. Our results improve and extend a host of previously known results. Moreover, we study the existence of solutions of a nonlinear integral equation.

In this paper, we prove some common fixed point theorems for two pairs of non-self weakly compatible mappings enjoying common limit range property, besides satisfying a generalized phi-weak contractive condition in symmetric spaces. We furnish some illustrative examples to highlight the realized improvements in our results over the corresponding relevant results of the existing literature. We extend our main result to four finite families of mappings in symmetric spaces using the notion of pairwise commuting mappings. Finally, we utilize our results to discuss the existence and uniqueness of solutions of certain system of functional equations arising in dynamic programming.
